Who You’ll Work With
This position will report to a Director of Investment Operations and will work closely with global investment professionals and cross-functional teams including legal, tax, treasury, compliance, and risk, with direct visibility into transaction activity and decision-making processes. The role will also interact with external stakeholders such as administrators, lenders, servicers, and other counterparties.
What You’ll Do
Operational Management – 60–70%
- Own and execute day-to-day investment operations across multiple strategies and fund activities
- Support investment operations across asset classes including corporate bonds and loans, structured products, credit and interest rate derivatives, FX, commercial, consumer, residential and commercial real estate loan portfolios, aviation, and energy transition investments, developing a strong understanding of underlying structures, cash flows, and risk drivers
- Execute and oversee transaction processing including fundings, distributions, settlements, and cash movements
- Review and interpret legal agreements to ensure accurate operational execution
- Support valuation processes including discounted cash flow modeling and reporting
- Manage and reconcile cash positions with counterparties and administrators
- Maintain investment data, models, and systems
- Support audits, compliance, and due diligence
- Improve processes and resolve operational issues
- Apply sound judgment in interpreting transaction details and resolving operational issues, escalating appropriately where needed
Analysis & Problem Solving
- Independently analyze investment transactions, structures, and cash flows to identify issues and validate outputs
- Evaluate complex situations and recommend practical solutions
- Support modeling and performance tracking
Business Partnering – 30–40%
- Partner with global teams and stakeholders
- Provide input on transactions and documentation
- Anticipate risks and propose solutions
- Build credibility with global stakeholders through high-quality execution and informed perspectives
What We’re Looking For
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
- 2–4 years of relevant experience, with a strong preference for investment operations experience supporting complex financial products or transaction lifecycles
- Strong understanding of financial instruments and structures
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of workstreams and drive tasks through to completion with minimal oversight
Preferred:
- CPA, CFA, MBA
- Experience in alternative investments or financial services
- Experience in high-performance or global team environments
- Experience with AI tools such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot
