Position Overview:
Dow Jones is seeking a proactive and passionate Associate, Internal Communications to join our global communications team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our company intranet and also contribute to storytelling and company events that foster engagement and align the workforce with our corporate values and strategic objectives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with leaders and departments across the company to help people feel informed and proud to work at Dow Jones.
You Will:
Report to the Senior Manager of Internal Communications and be based out of our New York City office.
Manage our company intranet, including liaising with the intranet vendor, and providing training and support to stakeholders on intranet-related updates and projects.
Source and write stories for our weekly global newsletter, intranet, and other internal channels (that occasionally will be shared externally).
Manage internal communication campaigns to increase awareness, create excitement and/or boost participation of employee programs.
Develop trusted relationships with key stakeholders across the business, and support them as needed.
Produce monthly metrics dashboards to create a holistic view of performance across the communications team and its channels.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
1-3 years of experience in internal / employee communications or a related field, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex communications in a fast-paced corporate environment.
Experience managing internal communication platforms, including intranets, employee apps, and/or digital tools.
Proven ability to handle sensitive topics with discretion and tact.
Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
Familiarity with internal communication tools like Slack, Canva, LumApps, and/or Xibo.
Experience with communication analytics and measuring engagement.
Ability to execute tactically with precision.
Creative thinker with the ability to generate fresh ideas and communicate them effectively.
Collaborative team player with a passion for enhancing workplace culture.
Adaptable and capable of working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Proactive, self-motivated, and able to take ownership of projects.
