POSITION SUMMARY

The Associate Growth and Commercial Strategy Analyst will support the SVP, Head of Growth & Commercial Strategy, Newrez in driving the enterprise growth agenda for Newrez.  This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of Newrez by driving strategic growth, conceptualizing digital/AI initiatives, and supporting high-impact investment/M&A decisions. This individual will work across functions, influence key priorities, and turn insights into action, gaining exposure to corporate strategy, digital innovation, and growth acceleration all in one role while building hands-on skills in financial modeling/analytics, problem-solving, and structured communication. The ideal candidate is analytically strong, intellectually curious, execution oriented and excited to work in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Planning and Growth Analytics

  • Support development of an enterprise-wide strategic growth plan, including market analysis, benchmarking, alignment on growth initiatives and opportunity sizing.
  • Learn the Newrez core business model and conduct market research to conceptualize new growth vectors across Newrez’s core business and potential adjacencies.
  • Build supporting models and frameworks to evaluate investment needs, prioritize initiatives and develop sequenced execution plans.

Business Case Development and Financial Modeling

  • Structure and build financial and business models to evaluate incremental revenue opportunities and strategic initiatives (e.g., TAM, profitability, scenario analysis)
  • Evaluate ROI, payback period, scenarios that inform leadership decisions on new products, channels, partnerships, or technology investments.
  • Translate analytical insights into concise, executive-ready presentations.

Customer Experience, Digital and Partnership Initiatives to enable growth

  • Support development of a partnership strategy through market scans, target screening, and financial evaluation.
  • Collaborate with internal digital and product teams to analyze customer experience and digital/AI opportunities that strengthen Newrez’s homeowner value proposition and experience
  • Support prioritization and sequencing of product and digital initiatives aligned with enterprise goals and strategy.

Cross-Functional Collaboration and Executive Support

  • Collaborate with business and functional leaders (e.g., Finance, Product, Marketing, Technology, Analytics) to align on key inputs for business planning and execution.
  • Support the preparation of materials for Executive Leadership and Board reviews, including strategic updates, investor discussions, and partnership evaluations.
  • Coordinate workflow across functions to ensure timely and accurate delivery of analyses and insights.

M&A/diligence support (ad-hoc)

  • Conduct research to evaluate potential M&A/ investment opportunities aligned with Newrez’s growth agenda (e.g., market/asset diligence)
  • Support integration/value creation analysis for strategic opportunities.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 0-2 years’ experience (or 2+ years’ coursework) in top tier management consulting, investment banking, corporate strategy, or a highly analytical business environment.

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

  • Strong analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills, with demonstrated ability to structure problems and draw insights from data.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including ability to distill complex topics for executive audiences.
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships across the organization.
  • Self-starter with intellectual curiosity and a bias toward action.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with ability to handle multiple, complex, and competing priorities/projects
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; exposure to SQL, Tableau, or Power BI a plus.

A good faith estimate of the compensation is:

60,800.00 - 99,960.00

Compensation for this position may also include other elements, including medical, financial, various paid time off benefits, and a bonus based on individual and company performance, variable or annual.

 

Placement within the range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, location, etc.
