Credit Analyst - Associate

Core Responsibilities:

This is a Credit Analysis role and sits within Global Corporate & Investment Banking, sitting alongside CIB bankers to promote an optimal risk / return on the banks’ lending opportunities.  

It offers exposure to a wide range of client transactions and provides daily interaction with multiple stakeholders within MUFG’s London office, as well as other EMEA and Tokyo teams.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing in-depth financial, business, risk analysis across our corporate and bank clients in Turkey
  • Preparing credit applications and rating assessments in coordination with colleagues in Istanbul and London
  • Supporting the evaluation of corporate, structured, and project finance opportunities
  • Working closely with Coverage and Product bankers to support client strategy and transaction execution
  • Coordinating with other MUFG offices across the Global Corporate & Investment Banking platform

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering or related disciplines.
  • Professional qualifications desirable and there is scope for MUFG to sponsor professional qualifications such as the CFA.
  • 1-4 years of experience in fundamental credit analysis gained in either a bank, asset manager, rating agency environment, or audit (Big 4 experience is a plus).
  • Strong analytical mindset and a genuine interest in building a career, learning core fundamentals and growing in an international bank
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • A proactive, motivated approach.
  • The ability to operate with urgency and priorities work accordingly.
  • Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to demonstrate sound judgement.
  • A structured and logical approach to problem solving.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
