Where you come in:

• You champion and lead meaningful engagement with people living with Diabetes and patient advocacy organizations, building and managing strategic, compliant relationships with national and community-based patient advocacy organizations.

• You represent the company in joint industry forums, coalitions, patient-centered alliances, trade associations, professional organizations, and patient groups, building and maintaining relationships with assigned external partners.

• You champion the integration of patient and caregiver insights into clinical development, lifecycle management, market access planning, and commercial strategy.

• You will lead efforts to collect, analyze, and translate qualitative patient insights into actionable business recommendations.

• You will lead patient storytelling initiatives that elevate real-world experiences, with a focus on amplifying diverse perspectives and unmet needs.

• You will advocate internally for patient-centered thinking, helping shape a culture of empathy, equity, and innovation.

• You will represent Dexcom for engagements with diabetes coalitions focused on Medicaid access, formulary coverage, and community-based care delivery.

• You will monitor and inform the adaptation of strategies in response to changes in the policy landscape, patient needs, and healthcare delivery trends.

What makes you successful:

• Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in patient advocacy, public affairs, healthcare strategy, value and access or related fields.

• Education: A bachelor's degree is required, with an advanced degree (e.g., MPP, MPH or MBA) being a plus.

• Strong research, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills are essential.

• An understanding of payor policy, payment, and care delivery model, and ability to manage external multi-level stakeholder relationships with patient, provider and payer advocacy groups.

• Professional attributes include strong stakeholder management and persuasion skills, attention to detail, proven track record of building and sustaining trusted relationships with patient advocacy organizations, community leaders, and individuals with lived experience.

• This role requires strong communication, research, and project management skills.

• Strategic thinker with the ability to align advocacy strategies to business priorities while staying grounded in-patient insights and community needs.

• Excellent communication, storytelling, and influencing skills to elevate patient perspectives and inspire organizational action.

• Understands the medical device/pharma/biotech business model, regulatory process & compliance guidelines.

Travel Required:

• 15-25%

Experience and Education Requirements:

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 – 8 years of related experience.

Flex Workplace: Your primary location will be a home office. You will not have an assigned workstation and will work with your manager to determine office visit needs. You must live within commuting distance of your assigned Dexcom site (typically 75 miles/120km).

Salary:

$91,400.00 - $152,300.00
