We are a team of innovators that take exciting and unexpected ideas and bring them to life – and have fun while doing it!

The opportunity:

Datadog is seeking an Associate Event Marketing Manager to join our high-performing team and support third-party events and tradeshows across the Asia Pacific region. As a key member of Datadog’s Event Marketing team – the driving force behind our high-impact, experiential marketing programs – you will play a critical role in executing best-in-class events that generate leads, pipeline, and scale our brand presence. With hundreds of events run globally each year, this role requires someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of delivering high-quality event experiences, consistently meeting deadlines, and collaborating cross-functionally. If you’re passionate about creating impactful brand experiences and excited to help shape Datadog’s event footprint across Asia Pacific, we’d love to hear from you!

At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table. We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.

What You’ll Do:

  • Execute Datadog’s presence at sponsored events across APAC- virtually and in person - including planning, logistics, onsite management, staffing, and ensuring event lead goals are met.
  • Implement promotional plans, lead capture workflows, and ensure brand alignment across all event elements.
  • Captain our events by managing event logistics from conception to completion, staff management, and booth space, and ensuring lead goals are met
  • Track event budgets, KPIs, ROI, and data accuracy; complete post-event reporting and ensure prompt upload of leads.
  • Maintain client and sponsor relationships while managing external communications
  • Coordinate vendor sourcing, prepare and negotiate contracts, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales and broader Marketing teams to align goals and messaging.

  • Manage medium-to-large tradeshows and support supplemental activities (meeting rooms, speaking sessions, receptions, partner events).

  • Research new event opportunities, evaluate performance trends, and recommend improvements to workflows and reporting.
  • Assist in onboarding and guiding staff at events, including basic lead grabber and process training.
  • Please note that this role requires travel at least 50% of the time.

Who You Are:

  • Minimum 2+ years of event management experience in a high-tech, B2B, or fast-paced environment, managing lead-generating events.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in an additional language (Bahasa, Korean, Thai) is a plus as the role requires frequent support to these markets.
  • Experience running international events onsite in different regions will be a plus; comfortable interacting with different cultures and teams.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple events, deadlines, and budgets simultaneously.
  • Able to handle high-stress situations calmly and professionally while juggling a variety of projects and deadlines
  • Comfortable working directly with Sales teams, handling onsite issues calmly, and communicating clearly with internal and external partners.
  • Detail-oriented with solid reporting and analytical skills; familiarity with Salesforce, Metabase or similar tools is a plus.
  • Strong presenter and communicator with the ability to conduct meetings with key stakeholders.
  • Positive, team-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Able to work around a flexible schedule including evenings/weekends as needed during events.
  • Willing and able to travel of minimum 50% (both domestic/international)
