SEI’s Wealth businesses are seeking a strategic, outcome-oriented, influential leader to serve as Director of Strategic Initiatives. This role reports to and directly supports the Heads/SVP’s of SEI’s Wealth businesses—the SEI Advisor business and Stratos business. This role is designed to accelerate enterprise effectiveness and efficiency, sharpen strategic decision-making and execution, strengthen communication across teams, and ensure our leaders are positioned to drive continued change management and meaningful impact.
As a strategic advisor, integrator, communicator, and operational catalyst, the Director of Strategic Initiatives will translate ideas into action, elevate the voice of Wealth leadership, and ensure clarity and consistency in how we tell our story—internally and externally.
This role is SEI Headquarters based in Oaks, Pennsylvania.
What you will do:
SVP Support & Advisory
Serve as a trusted thought partner to the SVPs, helping shape strategic messaging, refine business priorities, and address organizational challenges.
Create high-quality briefing materials, decision-support documents, and narratives for executive meetings, board-level interactions, internal leadership forums, and industry-facing opportunities.
Distill complex issues into clear, actionable insights that inform leadership decisions and strengthen communication across the enterprise.
Leadership Team Coordination
Facilitate structured and transparent communication among senior leaders to drive clarity on priorities, initiatives, and decision-making.
Manage the cadence and content for leadership meetings—ensuring messaging is cohesive, aligned, and actionable.
Reinforce a unified voice across the Wealth organization.
Strategic Market Alignment
Draft, refine, and elevate communications from the SVPs, including keynotes, talking points, strategic memos, and internal updates for advisor, partner, and enterprise Wealth audiences.
Own and mine research, competitive market intelligence, client feedback loop, and competitive intelligence to identify trends that inform Sales pipeline opportunities.
Support SVPs in defining Objectives and Key Results that cross-sell the Wealth ecosystem, aligning strategy and metrics to execution
Enterprise Initiative Management // Strategic Navigator
Translate functional leaders’ vision into clear, measurable initiatives across the Wealth businesses.
Drive cross-functional alignment, ensuring that teams understand the "why," "what," and "how" behind priority initiatives.
Navigate organizational complexities to make sure decisions land, accountability is clear, and execution is seamless.
Operational Excellence
Strengthen and scale processes that support initiative delivery and enterprise efficiency.
Monitor KPIs, operational trends, and performance metrics—helping tell a cohesive story about business momentum and risks.
Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions that improve speed, quality, and cross-team alignment.
Talent & Culture Enablement
Partner with functional leaders to ensure the right talent, leadership capability, and culture foundation are in place for growth.
Support leadership development, onboarding, communication rhythms, and team health initiatives.
Contribute to creating a cohesive culture across the broader Wealth ecosystem.
What we need from you:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in asset/wealth management, fintech/custody platforms, or related financial services client service or solutions.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or in a related field, or equivalent experience.
Deep familiarity with the U.S. wealth business—both Broker/Dealer and RIA channels—including operating and decision processes, product shelf architecture, advisor practice models, and platform integrations.
Proven track record in strategic communication and presentations; adept at communicating business outcomes for diverse, cross-functional audiences.
