Role Overview
We are looking for an energetic professional to join our Decommission, Retire, and Archive Center of Excellence team as the lead for our India Tech Center to help us build a new team responsible to identify and deliver business solutions to ensure long-term data retention capabilities. This candidate will be critical to helping us solve problems for unique archiving needs and drive significant business value.
The IT Technical Engineer is empowered and responsible for:
· Gain a deep understanding of the business processes, systems, and data that support the Our company Data Vault
· Develop an understanding of the various technology solutions that can be applied to data archiving and storage
· Collaborates with technical teams to design and develop technical solutions for archiving needs
· Actively participate and collaborate on the technical implementation of key applications to help ensure alignment between business needs and solutions and delivery of a well-engineered system
· Demonstrate the ability to evaluate new ideas and proposed methods for practicality and ease of implementation
· Demonstrate skill in using an open communication style that actively acknowledges other thoughts and opinions
· Demonstrate ability to independently solve problems that arise within job responsibility and expectations
· Share best practices, tools, and techniques across product teams
· Mentor junior resources to develop technical capabilities within the team
· Be part of agile teams and collectively work towards common goals
· Able to succeed in a dynamic, rapidly changing, highly matrixed business environment
Required Experience and Skills:
· Seven+ years’ experience working with large data platforms (e.g. data warehouse, data lake)
· Five+ years’ experience in leading, participating, and directing technical deployments
· Three+ working on Agile teams and knowledge of Scrum framework
· Experience working with Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions
· Experience with AWS components
· Working knowledge of Scrum and Collaboration Tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence)
· Strong written and verbal communications skills including the ability to communicate with both a business and technical audience
· Critical thinker who can effectively embrace new ideas and technologies while balancing the needs of stakeholders and users
Preferred Experience and Skills:
· Experience with Solix CDP
· Experience with data archiving solutions
· Knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) standards
· Hands-on pharmaceutical or regulated industry experience a plus
