Associate Director, Senior Global Lead Business Analyst – Capital Markets

Job Description

The Capital Markets Delivery team within Quantitative and Technology Services is undertaking multiple complex enterprise-wide initiatives as part of RBC’s ongoing plan to improve technology management and data governance across the organization. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing technical requirements, solution identification, risk analysis…  You will apply your in depth knowledge of Capital Markets trading lifecycle with a focus on Equities, Fixed Income, Repos, Stock Borrow Loans from back and middle office perspective across US, CA, EMEA, APAC…

What you will do:

  • Lead complex business analysis initiatives across global cash equities, fixed income, and listed derivatives trading flows spanning multiple jurisdictions (Americas, EMEA, APAC)

  • Lead a team of Business Analysts (4-5) globally to manage projects with competing priorities

  • Collaborate with front office traders, middle office operations, and back-office settlement teams across different time zones to gather and document detailed functional requirements

  • Translate cross-border business needs into technical specifications for development teams and vendor implementations. Partner with trading desks, operations managers, compliance teams, and risk management across global offices

  • Conduct gap analyses between current state processes and desired future state capabilities for global operations

  • Manage regulatory compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions and their impact on system configurations

  • Serve as subject matter expert for BPSA, IMPACTA, and GLOSS applications, including configuration, customization, and optimization across global markets

  • Manage system upgrades, patches, and new feature implementations for all Broadridge platforms with consideration for regional variations

  • Design and document workflows for global trade processing, multi-currency settlement, and post-trade operations within the Broadridge ecosystem

  • Coordinate with Broadridge support teams and regional account managers for issue resolution and enhancement requests

  • Optimize GLOSS configurations for international settlement processes, custody arrangements, and cross-border transactions

What you need to succeed:

Must Haves:

  • Minimum of 7 years experience as a Business Analyst in global Capital Markets technology

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with Broadridge Platform Required – BPSA, IMPACTA, GLOSS…

  • Ability to plan, execute analysis deliverables and report status to program management teams

  • Comprehensive understanding of international trade execution, clearing, and settlement processes (DTCC, NSCC, CDS, DDRL…)

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements across major jurisdictions (SEC, FINRA, CFTC, FCA, MiFID II, ASIC, etc.)

  • Familiarity with global market data feeds, international order management systems, and execution management systems

  • Experience with global custody operations and international settlement networks (Euroclear, Clearstream, DTC, etc.)

  • Experience tracking trade flows from execution through final settlement across different systems and jurisdictions

  • Knowledge of trade lifecycle management and the ability to troubleshoot complex multi-system workflows

  • Understanding of data quality issues in financial markets and methods for data validation and reconciliation

  • Ability to write complex multi-table JOIN queries for trade reconciliation and settlement analysis across multiple databases SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL.  Tableau, PowerBI are a plus

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or related field

Nice to Have:

  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or similar tools for complex data analysis and manipulation

  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik) for creating operational dashboards and reports

The expected salary range for this particular position is $165K - $225K + discretionary bonus, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.
