Collins Aerospace Platform Connectivity Technology seeks an Associate Director of Program Management. The ideal candidate will be passionate about capturing new opportunities, delivering exceptional solutions to customers in a high-profile mission area. The successful candidate join the existing Platform Connectivity Technologies program management team and will serve as the Top Level Integrated Program Team lead for a ~$900M program with a prime contractor supporting a Department of Defense customer. This role will require acumen in the following areas, with support from a full program leadership team:
Program Management of large a DX rated Engineering Development program with an engaged customer
Financial and contractual management for a rated Cost Plus Award/Incentive Fee EMD Contract
Informed engineering awareness for embedded systems development in an enhanced security environment
Leadership of a large (>125) multi-discipline team across multiple US locations
What You Will Do
Drive business-level strategic planning efforts, directs capture of critical follow on scope and change proposals
Manage key customer relationships
Set strategy to constructively manage contractual and scope changes in conjunction with program leadership team
Oversee the cost, schedule and technical execution to meet deliverables for internal and external stakeholders
Be accountable for financial performance (revenue and earnings) of the programs
Establish and maintain alignment with supporting teams
Spearhead solutions for issues, and works across the company to leverage differentiated solutions for our customers
Indirectly lead a team of Program Managers managing portions of the larger program to ensure adherence to program plans, schedules and budgets
Review and present plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the program(s)
Monitor business area strategy, progress and results to ensure that goals are achieved
Maintain a thorough Risk and Opportunity register, establishing effective mitigation and realization plans respectively
Drive business level strategic planning efforts
Work with functional leaders to set forward looking investment plans
Develop new business growth strategies to increase profitability and/or market share of the organization
Direct collaboration with business unit functions across the company, empowered to deliver successful integrated solutions
Interface with customers for high level negotiations, recovery scenarios, and new business opportunities
Establish lasting and impactful relationships with key customers to ensure our solutions and services delight them while achieving mission success
Establish cost and customer satisfaction focused performance targets and directs work to achieve these targets
Guide continuous improvement initiatives across value streams, including sustainment, services and mission readiness of critical platforms
Work with other functional business leaders to set priorities for resources and funding. Co-owns portfolio prioritization process
Be responsible for overall development program execution, programmatic structure, and lessons learned
Ability to travel for customer, company and program related activities (approx. 15 - 20% of role requires travel)
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience
Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret Security Clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Knowledge of Government contracting and acquisition processes
Business capture and proposal development experience
Minimum 4 years of demonstrated experience as a leader of employees
Minimum 5 years of Earned Value (EV) and/or P&L management
Minimum 5 years of demonstrated experience managing development programs
Qualifications We Prefer

Strong programmatic and operational execution background
Strong strategic planning and business acumen
Customer-facing program leadership
Excellent ability to establish and evolve relationships internal and external to the company in order to achieve long-term business success
Capturing Government and/or Defense related contracts
Strong oral, written and presentation skills
Demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit and approach to business and program execution
Demonstrated experience managing sustainment programs

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
