Job Description

What is the opportunity?

Manages planning, execution and control of Strategy & Planning (S&P) projects. Provides products and services to clients per approved engagement deliverable, schedule, cost and quality commitments. Typically manages 2 or more specialized departments comprised of supervisors, managers, professionals, and/or large numbers of operational support employees.

What will you do?

Initiative Management:

  • Strong corporate lending experience

  • Experience with data along with data mapping

  • Experience with testing

  • Experience with Ops Readiness

  • Strong communication and experience presenting at Steerco's

  • Oversee and guide BCS projects by providing subject matter expertise (when available) with a view to successful project execution

  • Escalate roadblocks to BCS management as required. 

  • Participate as required in business unit sponsored projects that impact BCS.

  • Coordinate, facilitate or participate in the development of operational procedures for new businesses and products.

  • Identify process improvement / reengineering opportunities through streamlining, simplification, elimination of redundancies/overlaps, improved capacity utilization, automation, outsourcing, standardization, etc.

  • Lead / conduct functional reviews primarily focused on productivity improvements as required by individual projects or as requested by BCS management.

  • Ensure effective execution of analysis and requirements gathering by team members

  • Assist with Planning and budgeting for PCM involvement in initiatives.

  • Provide input to Business Architecture decisions and process.

Management of project resources:

  • Assisting the Director, PCM  in management responsibilities for the department

  • Add talented SME’s and BA’s to the team as project demand dictates, maintaining appropriate mix of FTE and contractors.

  • Manage capacity of critical skill sets in order to meet departmental objectives.

  • Develop skills and competencies of staff by utilizing training programs pertaining to requirements gathering, use case preparation, UAT activities and the RBC Project Management Framework. 

  • Assign staff to initiatives.

  • Provide direction to staff

  • Represent PCM in joint CM / WM / IT committees

  • Ensure monthly recovery of staff time via MIS or similar tools.

Relationship Management:

  • In conjunction with BCS management, liaise with businesses on CM initiatives and BU initiatives that impact BCS

What you need to succeed?

  • 5+ yrs of corporate lending experience

  • Strong communication and experience presenting
