The Established Products team within the General Medicines business unit safeguards and drives the growth of Sanofi's core brand product portfolio — essential therapeutics spanning insulin, oncology, cardiometabolic care, and more. These treatments form the backbone of the company and serve thousands of patients who rely on them for their health and well-being. Operating under a digital pureplay business model, this team prioritizes innovation and creativity, ensuring continuous advancement in how these critical products are delivered and experienced.
The Associate Director of Payer Marketing will play a pivotal role in developing and executing comprehensive digital marketing strategies with a specialized focus on Market Access messaging and communications. This position serves as a strategic bridge between digital marketing excellence and market access objectives, ensuring that our insulin and established product portfolios reach the right stakeholders with compelling, compliant, and impactful messaging across all digital channels.
This role requires a dynamic leader who can navigate the complex landscape of pharmaceutical digital marketing while maintaining deep expertise in market access strategy, payer communications, and value-based messaging. The successful candidate will drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver patient-centric digital experiences that support both commercial objectives and market access goals, ultimately contributing to improved patient outcomes in diabetes care.

Main Responsibilities
Digital Strategy Development: Lead the creation of comprehensive digital marketing strategies for insulin and established products, with particular emphasis on market access messaging, payer engagement, and value demonstration across digital platforms
Market Access Digital Communications: Develop and execute targeted digital campaigns that effectively communicate product value propositions, health economic outcomes, and clinical evidence to payers, formulary decision-makers, and key opinion leaders
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Commercial, Regulatory, and Legal teams to ensure alignment of digital marketing initiatives with broader business objectives and compliance requirements
Content Strategy and Development: Lead the creation of compelling, evidence-based digital content that supports market access objectives, including value dossiers, economic models, real-world evidence presentations, and payer-focused educational materials
Analytics and Performance Optimization: Establish KPIs, analyze campaign performance, and leverage data insights to continuously optimize digital marketing strategies and demonstrate ROI to internal stakeholders
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all digital marketing activities comply with FDA regulations, industry guidelines, and company policies, working closely with Medical, Legal, and Regulatory (MLR) teams throughout the promotional review process
Innovation and Emerging Technologies: Stay current with digital marketing trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices, identifying opportunities to enhance market access messaging through innovative digital approaches
Education
High school diploma or GED required
Bachelor's degree or advanced degree preferred (MBA or related)
About You
7+ years of progressive experience in creative direction or marketing, with at least 4 years supporting pharmaceutical or healthcare clients, which must include:
Minimum 5 years leading digital creative development and multi-channel campaign execution
3+ years developing market access creative deliverables and materials
Proven track record of leading cross-functional creative teams and managing complex projects
Understanding of pharmaceutical industry regulations, compliance requirements, and promotional review processes
Knowledge of market access principles, payer communications, and value-based healthcare messaging
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with diabetes/endocrinology therapeutic area strongly preferred
Experience with marketing mix modeling and multi-touch attribution analysis
Advanced certifications in digital marketing or market access
