Trade Marketing within our Company’s Vaccines Business Unit has evolved significantly from an operational and tactical focus in the private healthcare system to a strategic function responsible for developing complex points‑of‑vaccination and distribution strategies across the full portfolio in both specialty and retail pharmacy channels. A key component of this evolution is the needs of stakeholders in the specialty pharmacy channel, in which our Company has a significant footprint of vaccines supporting from infants to adults.  Immunization therapies often require special storage, handling and administration, and typically involve a significant degree of coordination of specific healthcare ecosystem, including general population – not patients, HCPs and clinics, laboratories, hospital and pharmacies.

This market has been changing on last years, from a market dominated by clinics, many times managed by physicians, to a complex and competitive market with entrance of big chains of pharmacies, laboratories and vaccination at home.

Move the mindset of population is another relevant challenge of private vaccines market, especially on adult cohort, bringing the importance of prevention instead of disease treatment, and point of vaccination has an important role on this field.

In this scenario Associate Director of Trade Marketing & Strategic Partnerships is an essential position, creating a collaborative atmosphere to ensure the entire journey for prevention of diseases.

The Associate Director of Trade Marketing & Strategic Partnerships – Private Vaccines is responsible for assessing and identifying business opportunities in the fast-evolving private points of vaccination, then PoVs in support of healthcare consumers (HCCs), especially adults. This role, supporting all vaccines portfolio and pipeline products requires an understanding of the PoV and distribution channel and its complexities and challenges, coupled with a strategic mind with an eye towards innovation.

Key job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Lead the development of our company Vaccines Business Unit strategy to partner with laboratories, pharmacies and big immunization clinics (BICs) in their effort to accelerate connection with HCCs, leveraging technology to not only facilitate vaccination, but also PoVs initiatives to increase access.

  • Execute launch excellence in the Trade channel by overseeing the successful preparation of a diverse mix of stakeholders to drive key vaccines launches.

  • Identify new, strategic channel partners that will support and enhance the vision to innovate and meet the evolving HCC needs in the point of vaccination.

  • Lead for the strategic development and execution of multiple brand Trade value propositions throughout the brand lifecycle by collaborating with Brand leadership and other cross-functional partners.

  • Lead the development and creation of high-impact promotional materials for the PoV that supports HCC needs and brand strategic objectives.

  • Manage relationships with internal business partners, product managers (HCP and HCC strategy), commercial, supply and medical teams.

  • Manage strategic agency partner and development of Trade strategies and tactics across therapeutic areas

  • Embrace the Trade Marketing culture by cultivating an inclusive environment that encourages synchronicity, agility, transparency and development.

  • Synthesize complex, and sometimes incomplete, PoV data sets in order to inform key strategic decisions.

Qualifications
 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • Advanced English preferred

  • Experience with contract negotiation

  • Marketing experience preferred

  • Vaccines area experience preferred

  • Relationships within laboratories, retail pharmacy and distribution channel preferred

  • Knowledge of Marketing concepts within strategic planning process and understanding of market research principles to draw valid conclusions and inform recommendations

  • Experience in program management within pharmacy and distribution channel

  • Strong communication skills

  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing projects cross-functionally

  • Positive, solutions-oriented attitude

  • Customer centric mindset

  • Knowledge of applicable regulations and standards affecting Pharmaceutical market (RDC 96 from ANVISA and INTERFARMA regulation)
