JOB TITLE: Associate Director, Markets Onboarding & Product Enablement
SALARY: £65,385 to £72,650
LOCATIONS: Edinburgh- New Uberior House
HOURS: Full-time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.
About This Opportunity
Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) serves Lloyds Banking Group’s largest and most sophisticated clients. Sat in the CIB Chief Operating Office, CIB Client Operations ensures that the CIB business can consistently deliver market-leading products and services to clients.
Within CIB Client Operations, The Markets Onboarding Team operates as a specialist team dedicated to manage the onboarding process for Market clients, Sales Teams, and Relationship Management (Coverage) teams. Their focus is facilitating client access to a comprehensive suite of market products, removing friction and achieving trade readiness as quickly and efficiently as possible.
It's an exciting time in CIB which is in a period of ambitious growth. As a result, we’ll be investing in how this team operates today and ways of working will be transformed over the coming 2 years to manage the forecasted growth in demand on this team. This would require a leader who is excited by technology while remaining focused on our colleagues.
The Markets Onboarding Team is a recognised centre of excellence, overseeing the entire onboarding journey prior to the commencement of trading activities.
In this role you'll lead a team who have responsibility for onboarding Financial Institutions, Large Corporates, Mid Corporates and SME clients for CB Markets products. You'll be skilled at motivating and empowering our team to deliver great service to our customers and partners within a strong control environment.

What you’ll be doing
Leadership – Strengthening and leading the team while supporting the Senior Manager in the effective delivery of all client, risk, financial, partner, change and people accountabilities, including identifying and developing talent and stretching all colleagues to maximise their potential and day to day contribution.
Strategic Change – Able to engage with programme teams including Pega, Platform and Project teams to partner, shape and deliver improvements to the Market Onboarding Journey.
Service Delivery - Deliver high quality, accurate, timely and efficient service that satisfies the needs of all partners in line with group, divisional and departmental priorities.
Partner Engagement - Maintain and build relationships with clients and internal and external stakeholders as a respected partner.
Risk Control and Management – lead by example in adhering to all aspects of regulatory, operational, financial and IT risk adhering to the Group Risk Framework.
Continuous Improvement - Coach a team that identify and delivers improvements to processes, controls, and working practices.
Self-Development - Regularly evaluate own strengths and weaknesses and build appropriate development plan.
Environmental Awareness – Exercise good judgement in decision making by remaining aware of business, market, economic, regulatory and political dynamics and take those factors into account along with client, colleague, conduct and partner considerations.

What you’ll need
Knowledge of Markets products, Markets processes (credit lines, legal requirements, KYV, trade confirmations, trade settlement) and industry operational practices are desirable
Strong problem-solving skills, partner management experience and resilience are key for this fast-paced role as is the confidence to get involved with front line activity where there is a client or business need.
Proven experience of leading and coaching a team to maximise its potential
Awareness of the market and how economic, political and other environmental factors impact market conditions including ability to adapt to changing circumstances
Comprehensive understanding of risk frameworks and the ability to use that understanding in practice.
Ability to collaborate across teams and business area to ensure the right outcomes for customer, colleague and business are achieved
High standards of personal integrity and conduct to be demonstrated by self and team
