This role reports to the Director of Marketing Strategy & Operations within the Marketing team, covering both the Tripadvisor and Viator brands. You will be responsible for developing and executing strategic plans for key marketing opportunities. You will make sure our and organizational direction and plans are rooted in and informed by real market and customer insights.
You will synthesize insights from internal and external data to form comprehensive strategy documents that drive our marketing priorities. But we are looking for a leader who does more than just deliver insight and recommendations, so you will also navigate a complex organization, influence peers, and drive the execution of specific initiatives to completion. You’ll maximize your impact by turning insight into action along with top-notch marketers and analytics partners.
Job Location: Remote US East Coast
This role is a remote position in the United States. Occasional travel to company offices as necessary.
Insight Synthesis: Gather and synthesize external data from the travel category and the marketing industry as well as internal customer data to identify opportunities and shape our strategic decision making.
Strategic Planning: Formulate high-level strategy documents for major initiatives, such as international marketing expansion, new customer acquisition acceleration, demand-led supply and product development, and the effective use of 1P and 3P data across brands.
Initiative Implementation: Lead the coordination and execution of certain strategic initiatives that cut across marketing functions, going beyond just strategic recommendations.
Within-channel Support: Partner with channel owners to provide market research, intelligence, and strategy-building support to optimize individual channel roadmaps.
Thought Partnership: Serve as a strategic advisor to the Marketing Leadership Team and various stakeholders, providing data, analysis, and strategic oversight where needed.
You will work in a highly collaborative environment, partnering most closely with:
Analytics: To gather the necessary insights that drive strategic decision-making.
Finance: To align with corporate strategy modeling.
Marketing Leadership: To stay informed on all the high-priority areas of work in marketing.
Strategy and Leadership counterparts: To ensure strategic alignment across the broader business, especially outside of Marketing.
Experience: 10+ years of professional experience, with a proven track record covering both Marketing and Strategy roles.
Analytical Rigor: Advanced data literacy and analytical skills are essential.
Strategic Thinking and Communication: Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable strategy documents.
Strategic Implementation: Hands on experience putting ideas into action and seeing them through
Organizational Navigation: Demonstrated ability to influence and lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.
Thrive in Ambiguity: Demonstrated ability to autonomously figure out how to define an ambiguous problem and problem solve without heavy guidance
Curiosity: An extreme curiosity for the marketing landscape and the travel industry, keeping the team informed of emerging trends.

The salary range for this role is $160,000 to $190,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s pay position within the wage range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs. This compensation range may also be modified in the future.
