(Associate) Director Market Access (m/f/d) – LIVE Portfolio

Position Summary 

Market Access is a strategic function at Gilead, ensuring patients have timely access to our therapies while maximizing product value and aligning with German data requirements. 

As (Associate) Director Market Access – LIVE Portfolio (Liver, Inflammation, Emerging Viruses), you will lead market access strategies for this growing portfolio in Germany. This includes shaping and executing comprehensive access plans, navigating complex national and regional processes such as AMNOG, and driving pricing and reimbursement strategies. 

You will operate in a lean, agile matrix environment, working in cross-functional teams and collaborating across internal and external stakeholders. The role does not include direct reports but involves leading interdisciplinary teams and reporting to the Head of Market Access. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Define and implement market access strategies for the LIVE portfolio. 

  • Lead AMNOG-related activities: early advice meetings, value dossier development, oral hearings, and price negotiations. 

  • Provide input into clinical development to ensure optimal reimbursement and launch readiness. 

  • Design, conduct, and publish HEOR studies, including real-world data (RWD) analyses. 

  • Collaborate closely with local Market Access, Medical, Regulatory, Government & Public Affairs, and global HEOR and Value & Access teams. 

 

Qualifications & Skills 

  • Master’s degree in Market Access / Health Economics, Nature or Economic Science or Medical Degree  

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Market Access within pharma, biotech, or healthcare 

  • Deep understanding of German healthcare system and AMNOG processes; knowledge of international health system archetypes is a plus. 

  • Proven ability to design and execute HEOR studies; modeling experience advantageous. 

  • Strong analytical, strategic, and methodological skills. 

  • Established professional network within the German healthcare landscape. 

  • Excellent project leadership in cross-functional and external collaborations. 

  • Recognized team player fostering an inclusive environment; competitive yet humble with learning agility. 

  • Exceptional communication skills in German and English (written and verbal).
