Job Title: Associate Director

Location: London

Hours: Full-Time

Working Pattern: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least three days per week or 60% of our time, at one of our office sites.

As an Associate Director in our Asset Management client coverage team, you’ll be joining a fast paced, growth focused environment that spans the UK and North America. This is an opportunity to shape the future of a thriving franchise by connecting clients with the full breadth of our capabilities from investment banking products to tailored financial solutions.

You’ll manage a portfolio of Asset Managers and work closely with a Relationship Director to deepen existing relationships and build new ones. With exposure to a diverse and evolving sector, this role offers the chance to influence strategy, drive innovation and deliver meaningful outcomes for our clients.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Support the Director in managing and growing a portfolio of high‑profile Asset Management clients, with opportunities to lead relationships
  • Collaborate with product partners on live transactions (such as Securitisations and RCFs) and strategic pitches
  • Drive portfolio development by identifying new business opportunities and delivering tailored solutions
  • Oversee portfolio management activities including client strategy, lead generation, financial analysis and remediation actions
  • Guide Associates through the annual credit renewal process while ensuring alignment with risk and policy standards
  • Coordinate timely responses to client queries and ensure legal documentation aligns with credit and compliance requirements

What you’ll need:

  • Knowledge of different types of Asset Managers and their investment strategies
  • Strong understanding of Investment Banking products relevant to this sector, including FX, Rates, Repo and Structured Products
  • Familiarity with key legal documentation such as ISDA, CDEA and GMRA
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering accurate, high‑quality work
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contribute to shared goals
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to adapt messages for different audiences

This role is considered Certified under the Senior Manager and Certification Regime as either requiring mandatory qualifications or being deemed as a role capable of providing ‘significant harm’ to customers. Due to this, successful candidates will be subject to enhanced levels of vetting, and required to complete a fitness and propriety attestation on commencement in role. Colleagues performing this role will be required to be complete a fitness and propriety attestation on an annual basis and will also be subject to additional routine criminal and credit checks

This role has been identified as a Client-dealing function under SYSC 27.8.18R as defined in the FCA Handbook

The Person  (“P”) performs the client-dealing FCA certification function for a firm if:(1)  P is carrying out any of the activities in the table in SYSC 27.8.19R; and(2)  those activities will involve P dealing with:(a) a person with or for whom those activities are carried out; or(b) the property of any such person;in a manner substantially connected with the carrying on of regulated activities by the firm.

If you manage certified colleagues this role will be identified as Manager of certification employees under SYSC 27.8.13R as defined in the FCA Handbook(1) The function of managing or supervising a certification employee, directly or indirectly, is an FCA-specified significant-harm function.(2) A function in (1) is not an FCA certification function for that firm if it is performed by an SMF manager of that firm.
