Position Overview
Engineering leaderLocation: Hyderabad, India
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Associate Director of Cybersecurity Engineering to lead multiple security disciplines within our Hyderabad location. This role is a leader of leaders, responsible for strategic execution, operational excellence, and serving as a senior escalation point for both people-related and technical security issues.
The Associate Director will oversee managers and senior individual contributors across Identity & Access Management, Data Security, Endpoint Security, Email Security, and Network Security. This role partners closely with global security leadership, IT, and Engineering stakeholders to ensure a strong, scalable, and resilient security posture.
· - Lead, mentor, and develop managers and senior technical leaders across multiple security domains
· - Serve as the primary escalation point for complex people, performance, and organizational issues
· - Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration
· - Promote inclusive leadership and high employee engagement within the Hyderabad organization
· - Provide oversight across Identity & Access Management, Data Security, Endpoint Security, Email Security, and Network Security
· - Act as a senior escalation point for engineering and operations issues
· - Ensure consistent operational excellence, SLAs, and adherence to security policies and standards
· - Guide teams in implementing, operating, and optimizing security tools and platforms
· - Partner with global Information Security leadership to align priorities and roadmaps
· - Collaborate with IT, Engineering, Compliance, Risk, and Audit teams to address cross-functional security needs
· - Support audits, regulatory inquiries, and risk assessments as required
· - Ensure compliance with internal security policies and external regulatory requirements
· - Identify systemic risks and drive remediation and long-term improvements
· - Track and report on key security metrics, operational health, and maturity indicators
· - Champion automation, process optimization, and standardization across security functions
· - 12+ years of experience in Information Security, IT Security, or related fields
· - 5+ years in a leadership role managing managers and/or senior technical leaders
· - Strong working knowledge across multiple security domains, particularly IAM, data protection, endpoint, email, and network security
· - Excellent people leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
· - Experience working in a global, distributed organization
· - Experience in healthcare, fintech, or other regulated industries
· - Familiarity with frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, or similar
· - Experience building or scaling security teams in an offshore or global delivery center
· - Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP
