The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team:

Role Overview:

RTX Digital Identity is standing up a new Identity Enablement function to serve as the customer-facing arm of our identity products and services. This team will streamline and consumerize how our Business Units (BUs) engage with Identity solutions—transforming today’s fragmented, multi-team experience into a unified, strategic partnership.

The Associate Director, Identity Enablement will build and lead this new organization from the ground up. This leader will develop, grow, and oversee BU-aligned “pods” composed of business analysts and customer-facing identity specialists who guide stakeholders through requirements gathering, integration planning, delivery orchestration, and ongoing engagement. They’ll serve as the connective tissue between the BUs and our technical/product teams, ensuring every identity solution delivered is cohesive, scalable, and aligned with RTX Digital Identity’s strategic roadmap.

This is a highly visible, high-impact role for a strategic leader who thrives in ambiguity, excels at relationship-building, and can design and operationalize a modern customer-enablement function.

What You Will Do:

Team Leadership & Vision:

  • Build, lead, and mature the newly formed Identity Enablement function, establishing the strategy, operating model, processes, and KPIs.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of business analysts and BU-facing identity specialists organized in BU-specific pods.
  • Create a culture of partnership, accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a visible, trusted advisor to BU technology and business leadership.

BU-Facing Engagement & Relationship Management:

  • Establish deep, ongoing relationships with BU application teams, engineering teams, and business partners to ensure seamless engagement with RTX identity services.
  • Act as the front door for Digital Identity, simplifying engagement and reducing friction across the onboarding and integration lifecycle.
  • Understand BU mission, roadmaps, priorities, regulatory needs, and application portfolios to proactively anticipate identity requirements.
  • Own and lead BU-facing cadences, including quarterly business reviews, roadmap sessions, and intake discussions.

Requirements & Delivery Orchestration:

  • Oversee all requirements-gathering activities across identity integrations, acting as the end-to-end quarterback from intake through delivery.
  • Partner with product, engineering, architecture, and governance teams to ensure requirements are accurate, documented, prioritized, and actionable.
  • Translate BU needs into structured artifacts including epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria for development teams.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment to ensure solutions delivered are cohesive, secure, scalable, and aligned with RTX Identity service patterns.
  • Monitor execution across development and testing phases, remove roadblocks, and ensure timelines and quality expectations are met.

Customer Enablement & Experience:

  • Define and continuously refine the “customer journey” for identity integrations, from initial inquiry to production go-live.
  • Develop and maintain standardized artifacts for BUs including integration guides, capability catalogs, roadmaps, FAQs, service playbooks, and executive-ready briefings.
  • Build a repeatable onboarding model that reduces time-to-value and ensures consistent delivery across all BUs.
  • Identify pain points in the engagement process and drive simplification and process improvement initiatives.

Strategy, Planning & Cross-Functional Alignment:

  • Partner with the Digital Identity leadership team on strategic planning, roadmap definition, and enterprise-wide alignment.
  • Serve as a key voice in defining the future-state operating model for how RTX consumes identity capabilities (CIAM, MFA, SSO, IGA, directories, secrets management, etc.).
  • Provide BU insights to influence product strategy, investment decisions, and prioritization.
  • Track and report on key metrics including demand forecasting, BU sentiment, delivery throughput, and adoption trends.

Change Leadership & Communication:

  • Drive organizational awareness and adoption of identity services through effective communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Create clear, compelling storytelling materials for executive audiences (CTO, CIO, BU CIOs).
  • Lead change-management efforts for new identity capabilities, standards, and governance.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum 12 years of experience, or an Advanced Degree and a minimum 10 years experience.
  • 10+ years progressive experience in Identity & Access Management, enterprise technology, product management, business analysis, or customer success/enablement leadership.
  • 5+ years experience leading teams in customer-facing, consultative, or delivery orchestration roles.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Strong people leadership skills with demonstrated success in coaching, mentoring, and building high-performing teams.
  • Exceptional communication, storytelling, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and building structure in evolving spaces.
  • Experience working with large, distributed enterprises; ability to navigate matrixed environments.
  • Prior experience standing up a new function or transforming an existing process/org.
  • Strong understanding of modern identity architecture and capabilities (SSO, MFA, CIAM, IGA, directories, secrets/credential management).
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow, Jira, portfolio management tools, and agile delivery practices.
  • Experience with executive-level stakeholder management.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business value and outcomes.
