Your role at Clorox:

Position Summary:
The Embedded Insights Lead is responsible for leading end user, customer, and market intelligence for Clorox Professional, the B2B business unit within The Clorox Company. This role serves as the insights integrator and key strategic advisor to the business, reporting to the BU Innovation Lead and representing the holistic voice of the end user and customer through integrated end user/customer, brand, shopper, product, competitive, and marketplace insights.
The Embedded Insights Lead grows and leverages the BU Knowledge Base and develops and directs the Learning Plan to deliver the BU’s topline growth, profit, innovation, sustainability, and other business objectives.

In this role, you will:

Strategic Insight Leadership 

  • Serves as insights integrator for the BU, offering strategic thought partnership to GMs, Marketing, Sales, and R&D Studio Leadership. 
  • Ensures the business has a 360-degree view of the end user, customer, and marketplace dynamics, and leverages this perspective to maximize the quality and impact of business decisions. 

Growth & Business Impact 

  • Sparks BU growth with best-in-class insights across core/base business, innovation, category leadership, revenue growth management, and other key business growth drivers

Knowledge & Learning Agenda Ownership 

  • Manages, mines, synthesizes, and grows the BU Knowledge Base to ensure integrity, continuity, and richness of insights. 
  • Develops the BU Learning Plan as part of the annual business planning cycle and maintains and updates the Learning Plan at least quarterly. 

Insights Orchestration & Execution 

  • Directs execution of the BU Learning Plan, orchestrating specialized resources across: 
  • BU Embedded Insights 
  • Dynamic Deployment 
  • Shopper Insights 
  • Insights Capabilities 
  • B2B Learning Platforms / Tools 
  • External vendors 
  • Consumer Learning Center & Sensory 

Resource Stewardship 

  • Advises the Portfolio Leads on research needs required to deliver the Business Plan, Innovation plan and Customer insights, and supports finalization of research briefs for Dynamic Deployment engagement. 
  • Maximizes insights ROI by managing resources efficiently and prioritizing work against business impact. 

Enterprise Integration & Capability Building 

  • Develops strong cross-functional relationships, fosters knowledge integration across the Clorox org. 
  • Connects BU and central Insights teams, promoting two-way knowledge flow and sharing best practices. 
  • Influences total Insights, marketing, and enterprise-level capability development priorities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 10+ years of market research experience
  • Experience in Business to Business Cleaning, Janitorial, Healthcare, and similar product manufacturers is strongly preferred
  • Experience in CPG/FMCG categories is a plus
  • Broad and deep research expertise across most facets of base/core brand, innovation, shopper, product and competitive intelligence
  • Broad experience across the full range of market research methodologies (qual & quant), data and vendors
  • Strong record of partnership with senior business stakeholders across Marketing, Sales and R&D and evidence of influencing strategic business decisions/outcomes

Education Level/Degree:

  • BA/BS or Master’s in Market Research, Behavioral Science, Economics, MBA or related field

We use broad salary ranges that reflect the competitive market for similar jobs, provide sufficient opportunity for growth as you gain experience and expand responsibilities, while also allowing for differentiation based on performance. Based on the breadth of our ranges, most new hires will start at Clorox in the first half of the applicable range. Your starting pay will depend on job-related factors, including relevant skills, knowledge, experience and location. The applicable salary range for every role in the U.S. is based on your work location and is aligned to one of three zones according to the cost of labor in your area.

–Zone A: $153,700 - $309,000

–Zone B: $140,900 - $283,300

–Zone C: $128,100 - $257,500
