About You


RMIT is seeking an experienced facilities leader to take accountability for a large, complex property portfolio and lead the ongoing evolution of service delivery across the University.

This is a role operating in an environment of active change. You will be required to navigate complexity, respond to high stakeholder expectations, and apply strong commercial judgement to deliver tangible, enterprise-wide outcomes.

The Role

You will lead facilities management across RMIT’s Australian portfolio, ensuring assets are safe, compliant, and performing to support world-class education and research outcomes.

You’ll operate at the intersection of strategy, operations, and stakeholder influence, with responsibility for:

  • Leading a team of facilities professionals and shaping on-going capability uplift

  • Managing high-value outsourced service providers and complex vendor ecosystems

  • Driving improvements to service delivery models, including market testing and transformation initiatives

  • Providing clear, commercially grounded advice to senior stakeholders during periods of change

  • Ensuring operational performance across maintenance, compliance, risk, and asset lifecycle management

  • Solid understanding of compliance, risk, and asset lifecycle management

About the Portfolio

The Property Services Group (PSG) is located in the Operations Portfolio which is the services nucleus of RMIT and the focus for the development of the finance, people development infrastructure and systems that provide administrative capacity to the University.

PSG has approximately 100 staff and has the responsibility to operate, maintain and enhance the buildings owned and leased by RMIT University, oversee construction projects and ensure the provision of physical facilities services.
