The F135 Program Digital Solutions (PDS) team has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director, F135 PDS Product Manager. In this role, you will lead a portfolio of agile teams who develop, demonstrate, and own digital solutions for the F135 Program.  In addition to providing strategic and tactical direction to execute the F135 Digital Roadmap, and decomposing what the teams need to work on, you will also play a key role in creating a positive team culture, in guiding the team members to excel in the Agile Operating model, and in supporting the career growth of practitioners across our teams and in line with Pratt & Whitney values, CORE Operating System, and the Leadership Operating Model.  You will also be the supervisor of record to the Product Owners of the agile teams in the portfolio.

What You Will Do:

  • Set strategic and tactical direction and priority for the F135 PDS agile teams is in alignment with PW & RTX’s Enterprise Architecture and ensuring all solutions align with F135 Program business goals
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement new processes, policies, standards or operating plans in support of strategic objectives
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and the Product Manager of other agile teams, as well as the Stakeholders of your teams, and across other ME and CE programs to refine scope, requirements and deliverables to drive compliance with RTX guidelines for authorized solution deployment (Architecture Review Board (ARB), Authority to Operate (ATO), CLARA, etc.)
  • Support the Product Owners in the communication of software status, issues, risks, and opportunities to audiences including team leadership, Program leadership, and external customers
  • Partner with other Platform and Enablement teams across PW who are building foundational digital capabilities so that F135 digital requirements are well understood and supported by what they develop

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 12 years of computer science, software engineering, or program management experience; or an Advanced Degree with 10 years of computer science, software engineering, or program management experience required.  
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience with software engineering, DevOps, or generating digital solutions
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience leading agile teams or teams of teams
  • Proficiency using Jira and Confluence as effective project management tools
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience collaborating with business stakeholders and IT / DT department on multi-disciplinary issues
  • Previous experience guiding teams to generate outcome-oriented objectives then decompose them into the pieces of work that must be delivered to produce value 
  • Qualified as an RTX CORE Champion or higher
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills to document and communicate software engineering approaches, and a proven ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches

The salary range for this role is 157,200 USD - 298,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
