The Enterprise Transformation Office (ETO) is GSK’s internal transformation practice. We partner with Business Units (R&D, Supply Chain, Commercial) and Global Functions (HR, Technology, Finance, Procurement) to co‑create strategy, run transformation programmes—with a strong emphasis on digital and AI—and deliver measurable business outcomes. The 80+ person ETO acts as a catalyst for strategy enablement and execution across the company.
About the Role
We are looking for an Associate Director, Enterprise Transformation, to lead large, complex global programmes and provide leadership to a team of transformation professionals. This is a hands‑on senior role for a practical strategist who can shape direction, lead delivery and influence senior stakeholders across the organization. You will work in a fast‑moving, digital‑first environment and focus on delivering clear, measurable outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Design and lead enterprise‑level transformation programmes that improve experience, efficiency and effectiveness across functions and geographies.
- Work with senior leaders to identify, prioritize and shape programmes using data and clear business rationale.
- Act as the primary point of contact for executive sponsors; maintain strong senior stakeholder engagement and clear escalation routes.
- Manage programme delivery: scope, financials (business case and budget oversight), resourcing, timelines, stage‑gates and risk management.
- Provide people leadership for a team of transformation professionals; mentor and develop talent and support capability building across the ETO.
- Bring structure to complex and ambiguous situations, converting uncertainty into practical next steps and decisions.
- Champion a digital and agile mindset, leveraging technology and iterative approaches to accelerate change and deliver value
- Influence and align stakeholders at all levels, building trust and commitment without formal authority
- Foster collaboration, inclusion, and psychological safety—ensuring everyone required is engaged in the transformation journey
- Solve complex problems with creativity, analytical rigour, and a growth mindset—embracing learning and continuous improvement
- Share knowledge, promote continuous improvement and help standardise effective transformation practices across the ETO.
- Challenge the status quo, drive innovation, and ensure transformation efforts are future-ready
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA from a top-tier B-school strongly preferred
- 15+ years’ experience leading large transformation programmes, either in industry or consulting; experience in pharma industry is highly desirable.
- Deep expertise in digital transformation and AI adoption at scale strongly preferred
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand business needs and translate them into effective solutions.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and work across matrixed organisations.
- Strong change management expertise with the ability to manage change effectively and minimize disruption during implementation.
- Proven track record of solving complex problems, delivering results, and driving real business value
- Clear and effective communicator, able to tailor messages to different audiences.
- Experience leading and developing teams, and promoting a collaborative working culture.
- Consulting or internal advisory mindset with a focus on delivering measurable business value.
- Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and build strong relationships across functions and geographies
