About Lilly:

Role Overview: The Director of Enterprise Data will be responsible for leading and managing a team of strong technical professionals. This role is pivotal in transforming our approach from point solutions to a product mindset, with a strong emphasis on user experience, strategic initiatives, and leveraging automation and AI to drive efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Automation & AI: Implement and promote the use of automation and AI to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Influence: Ability to lead by influence. Drive the Enterprise Data Vision within the team.
• Execution: Drive execution of the PI commitments, drive innovation in the Product development area to accelerate the delivery.
• User Experience: Champion user-centric design and development practices to enhance the overall user experience.
• Drive Adoption : Focus on driving adoption of the tools and offerings from the Enterprise Data.
• Vision : Build a strong vision for the Enterprise Data products, focus on making the team future ready with innovative products that can help Lilly increase the competitive lead.                
• Strategic Initiatives: Participate in and drive key strategic initiatives that align with the company’s vision and objectives.
• Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and inform decision-making.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure successful product delivery and adoption.
• Performance Management: Set clear performance goals, provide regular feedback, and support professional development for team members.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Promote cross-functional collaboration to break down silos and enhance communication and cooperation across teams.
• Development Efficiency: Monitor metrics like cycle time, lead time, and velocity to assess the efficiency of the development process.
• Financial Metrics: Evaluate revenue growth, cost savings, and return on investment (ROI) to measure the financial impact of product initiatives.
• Team Performance: Assess team productivity, collaboration, and innovation through regular performance reviews and feedback sessions.

Product Development & Delivery

• Drive the end-to-end delivery of software products, from initial concept to production release and beyond.
• Oversee the development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of software, ensuring high quality, scalability, and reliability.
• Promote best practices in agile development, code quality, continuous integration, and DevOps.
• Prioritize features and technical initiatives based on business needs, engineering capacity, and technical debt considerations.

Essential Skills:

• Knowledge of Cloud Technologies, Data Ops, AIML Ops, and DevOps principles.
• Experience as a Data Strategist/Architect to establish large-scale data platforms.
• Expertise in Data Management, including ETL, Ingestion, Big Data, Azure Delta Lake, and Cloud Migration.
• Proven experience in leading product development within a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong technical background in software development, architecture, and agile methodologies.
• Ability to adapt and thrive in a start up like environment

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in leading Engineers in a highly dynamic product development environment.
• Ability to think strategically and translate vision into actionable plans.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Strong understanding of product management principles and user experience design.
• Demonstrated ability to drive strategic initiatives and manage complex projects.
• Expertise in leveraging automation and AI to enhance operational efficiency.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
