What You Will Do
The Associate Director, Engineering for Eagle Services Asia Pte. Ltd. will assist and support the Deputy General Manager in providing engineering leadership and strategic directives to meet delivery commitments, ensure customer satisfaction, and lead cultural transformation within the organization.
This leader will develop and implement policies, processes, and operational strategies to optimize team performance and achieve a high level of engineering and operational excellence while ensuring full compliance with statutory, regulatory, and company standards.
The role requires a strong balance of strategic leadership, regulatory compliance, operational oversight, and people development, with direct accountability for cost, quality, turnaround time, and safety in engine and component maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Engineering Leadership & Strategy
- Assist and support the Deputy General Manager in providing engineering leadership and strategic directives to meet delivery commitments and ensure customer satisfaction and leading cultural transformation within the organization.
- Develop and implement policies, processes and operational strategies to optimize team performance and achieve high level of engineering and operational excellence.
2. Compliance, Safety & Regulatory Governance
- Ensure all statutory and Company's regulations and standards relating to maintenance of engines and components are complied with and adhered to approved standards.
- Drive a high compliance culture within the organization with regards to Global Trade, EHS, Ethics, Quality, and all relevant areas.
3. Maintenance Operations & Quality Assurance
- Ensure that all maintenance work performed on customer’s products and components meets their requirements in terms of cost, quality and turnaround time.
- Establish and maintain an appropriate system to provide, control and update approved technical publications required for airworthiness tasks undertaken by the Company.
- Ensure that a system is in place to incorporate or comply with mandatory modification programs or alert service bulletins as required by the customer and the applicable regulatory requirements.
4. Technical Governance & Risk Management
- Ensure that a system is in place for the investigation of all defects and incidents within the Company which could affect the quality of the work undertaken.
- Review and approve all locally developed maintenance procedures, locally designed tools and existing OEM tool modification used by the company in engine maintenance activities.
5. Talent Development & Organizational Capability
- Ensure the competence of all personnel engaged in maintenance activities by establishing a program of training, continuation training and evaluation as necessary.
- Develop potential successors in the talent pipeline and champion talent developments of the management team within the organization to ensure team stability and business continuity.
6. Continuous Improvement & Productivity
- Drive productivity and continuous improvement (CORE) initiatives to improve efficiency.
7. Strategic & Ad-hoc Initiatives
- Other ad-hoc strategic projects as assigned.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor’s / master’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- 10+ years’ experience in aviation MRO, aerospace manufacturing, or engine MRO preferred.
- Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams in a regulated and technical environment.
- Demonstrated ability to drive performance across multi-revenue stream operations in a dynamic business environment.
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking, combined with excellent tactical execution skills.
- Skilled in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and organizational effectiveness to deliver results in a cross-functional and international setting.
- Team-player with high standards of performance and personal integrity.
- Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
