The Role and Department

We are seeking an Associate Director, Digital Project Management to join Digital TechOps.

Technical Operations at Genmab encompasses the full Chemistry, Manufacturing & Controls (CMC) spectrum—including process development, clinical and commercial manufacturing, as well as global supply chain. As a foundational function in Genmab’s integrated R&D-to-commercial model, TechOps plays a pivotal role in delivering on our 2030 vision to transform the future of cancer treatment.

As a Project Manager in Digital TechOps, you play a central role in driving the planning, execution, and delivery of digital initiatives in Technical Operations across CMC development, manufacturing, QC, and supply chain functions. Operating as part of the TechOps ‘spoke’ in the hub‑and‑spoke digital operating model, you serve as the link between business functions, Digital/IT, and external partners—ensuring solutions are delivered effectively, compliantly, and with real business impact. 

You will manage complex digital projects end‑to‑end, support standardization and digital process maturity across TechOps, and help advance Genmab’s digital transformation. 

About Digital TechOps 

Digital TechOps is responsible for enabling digital solutions and data‑driven ways of working across Technical Operations. As part of the hub‑and‑spoke operating model, the team acts as both a strategic partner and execution engine—ensuring TechOps has the tools, capabilities, and insights needed to deliver high‑quality products.

You will join a newly established team, as an onsite role at our Copenhagen office, and report to Senior Director, Head of Digital Technical Operations.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Lead end‑to‑end planning, execution, and delivery of digital projects for TechOps. This is done with your evaluation of needed project models (agile, waterfall etc.) ensuring timelines, scope, budget, and quality targets are met

  • Coordinate cross‑functional teams—including Technical Operations (CMC, Manufacturing, Supply Chain), Digital/IT (hub), QA, and external vendors—to ensure alignment and strong execution

  • Translate business objectives into a clear project direction and plan

  • Manage vendor and partner activities, including contracts, deliverables, performance tracking, and issue resolution.

  • Drive proactive risk mitigation and facilitate timely decision‑making to maintain project momentum

  • Ensure adherence to compliance, validation, data integrity, and GxP requirements relevant to CMC, Labs, Supply Chain and manufacturing systems 

  • Prepare and deliver project updates, steering committee materials, and communication tailored to leadership and key stakeholders 

  • Support change management activities, including training preparation, onboarding, communication, and operational readiness

  • Collaborate with the Digital TechOps Hub to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, data governance, cybersecurity, and digital standards

  • Monitor project outcomes, ensure smooth transition to operations, and support continuous improvement to sustain value

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, IT, Business, or similar 

  • 5+ years of project management experience, preferably within biopharma, CMC, or manufacturing 

  • Preferred experience delivering digital, IT or technology projects in GxP‑regulated environments

  • Understanding of TechOps processes (e.g., CMC development, manufacturing operations, quality, supply chain) is an advantage 

  • Demonstrated ability to work cross‑functionally and influence without authority

  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills

  • Experience with agile or hybrid project management methodologies is a plus
