About the Role

This is a team lead position to oversee a team of Solution Analysts responsible for requirements elicitation, documentation, test planning, and test execution. This role combines team leadership with business representation responsibilities in strategic and complex cross functional projects, particularly in Life Policy Servicing (POS) BAU, New Products and Transformation Projects.

This section should also include responsibilities on overseas operations, subsidiaries, assigned POA over specific matters and/or other appointments such as Data Protection Officer

Team leadership & operational oversight

  • Lead and manage a team of solution analysts supporting BAU, New products launch and transformation projects/ initiatives for Policy Servicing function
  • Define & drive change execution strategies aligned with division goals
  • Able to work with SMEs & HOD to prioritise and manage backlogs across multiple workstreams
  • Review, manage & allocate resources (local and OSS team) effectively to meet the change delivery timelines and maintaining the quality standards
  • Strengthening team capabilities through hiring, onboarding and development
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to solution (business) analyst on business analysis, process mapping (As-Is vs To-Be), end to end solutioning techniques, stakeholder engagement and testing strategies.
  • Step in to perform hands-on tasks such as drafting requirements, reviewing test cases, or executing test scenarios when the team faces bandwidth or capability gaps.

Strengthen business analysis & testing capability

  • Oversee the elicitation and documentation of business and system requirements for BAY, New Products and Transformation Projects
  • Ensure traceability of requirements through design, development and testing in accordance to AIA SDLC standards and End to End AOS Change Process.
  • Work closely with various Tech Change & Run team to ensure changes are planned and deployed as per agreed timeline
  • Review and approve test plans, ensure comprehensive end to end test coverage
  • Lead & coach team in defect triage and resolution during testing cycles
  • Champion best practices application where applicable throughout end-to-end change lifecycles, from user requirements elicitation to post-production verification to ensure quality of change is always upholding.
  • Explore right automated testing tool(s) that could support growing testing demand from business for various changes in both backend and frontend applications.

Strategic/ transformation project leadership

  • Act as Business Lead representing Life Ops in Transformation projects, specifically for POS Transformation projects or divisional level which can be crossed functional in nature as appointed by HOD and COO.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (i.e. SME/ business users, Product, Technology, Legal and Compliance, etc) in order to get change implemented.
  • Drive business readiness activities including SOP/ Guides updates, training and change communication to ensure team in SG and OSS adheres to standard of work in executing change to ensure quality of change is continuously uphold.
  • Ensure business objectives are met, potential risks are mitigated in BAU enhancement and project delivery.

Effective stakeholder engagement

  • Serves as primary/ key business partner liaising between POS function and Technology teams (Core Applications and Digital – Front-end)
  • Facilitate brainstorming session, user requirements walkthrough and review sessions with multiple stakeholders (SME/ business uses, Technology teams), a throughput to SDLC Lifecycles.
  • Proactively communicate project status, risks and seek timely decisions from senior management team, when required.
