About the Role: 

Rocket Travel by Agoda is seeking an experienced and highly structured Associate Director, Commercial Excellence to lead large-scale commercial initiatives through disciplined project management and continuous process optimization. The role is responsible for designing, implementing, and governing scalable ways of working across commercial and cross-functional teams to drive excellence, efficiency, and predictable outcomes.

This position is ideal for a strategic operator who enjoys turning complexity into clarity, leading cross-functional programs, and building sustainable processes that enable teams to perform at their best.

As an Associate Director, Commercial Excellence at Rocket Travel by Agoda, you will: 

 

Commercial Project Leadership

  • Lead high-impact, cross-functional commercial initiatives from concept through execution, ensuring delivery against timelines, scope, and success metrics.
  • Establish project governance, operating cadence, and reporting frameworks for commercial programs.
  • Proactively identify risks, dependencies and bottlenecks, and drive mitigation plans with senior stakeholders.

 

Process Optimization and Ways of Working

  • Design, document, and optimize end-to-end commercial processes, including planning, deal execution, partner onboarding, launches and partner management.
  • Standardize tools, templates and frameworks to improve execution consistency and scalability.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts using structured methodologies.

 

Stakeholder and Change Management

  • Serve as a trusted partner to commercial and cross-functional leadership teams.
  • Translate strategy into executable roadmaps with clear ownership and accountability.
  • Drive adoption of new processes by leading change management, training, and communication efforts.

 

People Leadership and Team Development

  • Directly manage and develop a Commercial Excellence team (i.e. associate project managers), setting clear priorities, goals and performance expectations for team members.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback and career development support.
  • Foster a high-performing collaborative team culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.



We are looking for someone who embodies the following:

Required:

  • 10+ years in commercial operations, strategy, enterprise partnerships, or operational excellence roles.
  • Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives in matrixed environments.
  • Demonstrated people management experience with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong project management and process optimization expertise.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills.

 

Preferred:

  • Experience supporting enterprise or loyalty-based partner models (ex. financial institutions, airlines, large B2B clients).
  • PMP, Lean, Six Sigma, Agile or related certifications.

 

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, roles are eligible to be considered for an annual bonus. 

The annual salary range for the Chicago-metro area is $130,000-162,000
