SALARY: Basildon (£76,464 to £84,960) or London (£81,999 to £91,110)
LOCATIONS: Basildon or London
HOURS: Full-Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week or 40% of your time with our clients or at our office sites
About this Opportunity
Joining Cardnet's Portfolio Relationship Team as a specialist Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for promoting the growing range of products and services provided by Cardnet directly within a Portfolio of existing strategic customers with cards turnover of up to £100 million. You will be responsible for establishing, managing, and developing long term profitable relationships with SME & MC clients providing excellent customer service and maximising business opportunities.
In this field-based role, no two weeks are the same. You will use your exceptional self-motivation and determination to effectively schedule your own time to meet your varied commitments.
What You’ll Be Doing
A key focus of your time will be spent out in the field, conducting face to face meetings with existing customers from your Portfolio. The customers are typically based in and around London.
Your strong relationship management skills will allow you to successfully manage c60 customers where you will be responsible for retention of the portfolio as well as identifying ways in which to add value to the relationship through additional product offerings.
You will have excellent negotiation abilities along with a real determination to deliver. Using your customer focused approach, you will ensure that doing the right thing for customers is at the heart of all your recommendations and decision making.

What You’ll Need
Full and extensive specialist knowledge of card acquiring payment and gateway solutions
Working knowledge of acquiring schemes, their drivers, industry dynamics, interchange, and future product service deliverables.
An up-to-date knowledge of Industry related technical development.
Knowledge of relevant third-party suppliers (e.g. technology) and partners.
Total awareness of the interests and relationships in existence within any prospective client.
An exceptional profit performance record, ideally within a Client Relationship Management environment.
Proven ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
Proven success rate in negotiating at the highest level.
