Business Solutions International (BSI) sits within our international division with the objective of providing gold-standard business solutions to drive commercial and medical excellence for our international colleagues (Therapeutic Areas and Functions). The Consulting and Program Management team within BSI work to support and enable delivery of the highest priority programs.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Scope and design priority programs aligned with BSI Consulting and Program Management objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact programs to across the international organization.
  • Collaborate across geographies to ensure program alignment with business goals and priorities.
  • Champion AI/GenAI adoption to enhance program delivery and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Support large-scale transformation programs with a key focus across commercial and medical excellence including initial planning / design / scoping, workshop facilitation and delivery, ownership of key deliverables & outputs, cross-functional stakeholder engagement.
  • Strengthen team capabilities in consulting, program management, and commercial and / or medical acumen.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships across International to drive delivery excellence.
  • Partner with other BSI teams to support program execution and capability-building initiatives.
  • Coach and mentor consultants to foster growth, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Role model Novartis values and promote a unified, impact-driven team culture.

Essential Requirements

  • Extensive experience managing full program lifecycles, from planning to execution and ideally with pharmaceutical commercial & medical expertise.
  • 9+ years in management consulting and / or program management focused role(s) delivering large scale programs, ideally on global level (life sciences, healthcare & pharmaceuticals sectors a plus)
  • Proven ability to lead consulting teams and engage diverse stakeholders across matrixed organizations.
  • Strong track record applying consulting tools and AI/GenAI solutions to solve complex business challenges.
  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, business administration, or economics.

Desirable Requirements

  • Master’s degree in a business-related field and relevant certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, Agile, Change Management).
  • 3+ years’ experience with strategic-type reviews, design thinking, AI/Gen AI, technology/digital advisory, program management, launch execution, commercial and/or medical excellence
