Position Summary

As an Associate Director (AD), you will be at have a direct impact on this future success for the business, our brands, our consumers, and our people.
Associate Directors are leaders in our brands and businesses: You unearth opportunity to drive impact and turn ideas into actions. Your responsibilities will span across strategy, advertising, media, and agency management. This position is best suited for someone who is both strategic and creative, has a bias for action, a love for disruptive marketing campaigns, and excellent communication skills. You should be comfortable working both horizontally and vertically across an organization to keep multiple projects and priorities moving forward to achieve goals.
As the Associate Director, Brand Communications – Cheese, you will lead brand marketing campaign and communications for the iconic brand, Singles. You will help push the limits on what the brand means to consumers and will find new ways for this brand to connect with consumers. You will work with and manage incredible creative talent, you will be responsible for thinking differently to drive breakthrough creative strategy that unlocks compelling brand ideas in the world, you will be responsible for inspiring others, internally and externally.
Key Components of the Role
Lead, manage, and develop 1 direct report to build and execute a comprehensive marketing communications strategy in service of brand growth.
Create breakthrough communications that will build brand equity and drive long-term growth for the business, including:
Partner with base team to translate strategic plan into clear communication priorities
Own creative brief for external collaborators
Manage end to end creative strategy, and ensure alignment with your understanding of the consumer and culture
Identify best creative territory/big idea for development
Drive agency discussion, owner of feedback to lead agency
Think strategically and holistically across full marketing mix, with specific focus and passion on emerging platforms
Approve research framework for creative development
Drive strong collaboration with brand partners, central marketing excellence, consumer insights, sales, finance, and agency partners to take creative ideas & activations from concept to reality.
Lead discussions during presentations with business unit and marketing senior leadership, and champion bold and breakthrough ideas at the most senior levels of our organization.
Lead full cross-agency team (creative, social, media, PR) to bring ideas to life and extend campaign across relevant channels, including hands-on management of social media team, engaging the brand in culture. Responsible for delivering creative work and activations on time and on budget.
Develop a deep comprehension of the consumer and use consumer insights to drive brand and campaign strategy; identify areas of opportunity to deepen understanding and partner with insights leads to answer.
Analyze data to develop strategies and assess in-market results to drive business objectives; develop learning agendas to drive continuous improvement in our advertising efforts.
Qualifications
A passion for the intersection of brand building, culture, and the consumer. A desire to think differently and push creativity in service of driving the business and strategic direction of our brands. Proven track record of driving results through marketing campaigns.
A people-first leadership approach and proven track record of recruiting, managing, and developing exceptional marketing talent.
A desire to challenge the status quo. Demonstrated courage to stand up for new ideas.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to simplify and remove noise to focus on the most impactful ideas.
Strong communication, influence and relationship building skills in a cross-functional team environment. Proven experience working with a broad range of agency partners.
Demonstrated resiliency and a desire to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment that requires agility and the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects.
10+ years’ experience in CPG brand marketing, experience across agency and clients side a plus.
Bachelor’s degree required.

New Hire Base Salary Range:
$164,200.00 - $205,200.00Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
