Associate Director - APIEM Supply Chain Area Lead

The APIEM Supply Chain Area Lead will ensure the reliable supply of medicines through effective and efficient supply chain processes. Reporting To the Associate Director of API External Manufacturing Supply Chain, the Area Lead will be responsible for either, supply chain operations associated with a given plant aligned by manufacturing platforms (Large Molecule, Small Molecule, Tides) or, APIEM Warehouse & Logistics.

The Area Lead will ensure alignment with MSOE 204 Reliable Supply of Medicine

The Area Lead will own supply chain business plan deliverables for the relevant APIEM plant.

The Area Lead will be responsible for Plant R&OP governance and consolidation of plant information for site R&OP.

The Area Lead will work with supply chain associates to maintain accurate delivery plans and maintain shipment tracking for relevant plants.

The Area Lead will act as an escalation point for supply chain associates and will work cross functionally to resolve plant related supply chain challenges.

The Area Lead will act as the point of contact for their area with GSC platform representatives (LM, SM, Tides)/GLX contacts and internal site representatives for supply chain/logistics.

The Area Lead will work with supply chain associates and operations to create and approve binding forecast volumes aligned with GSC, procurement contractual agreements, APIEM BP commitments, inventory targets and consumptions plans.

The Area Lead will be responsible for driving process improvements within plant aligned with APIEM Supply Chain deliverables.

The Area Lead will work with the Associate Director APIEM Supply Chain to drive organizational initiatives including the development of processes and procedures for the APIEM supply chain organization.

The Area Lead will ensure supply chain process alignment with other relevant area leads to ensure standardization.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Supply Chain Subject Matter Expertise to the organization.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to the APIEM supply chain organization.
  • Support the documentation, standardization of processes and procedures with the APIEM Supply Chain Organization
  • Develop and grow supply chain knowledge to be consistent with APIEM business needs.
  • Attend Appropriate Governance Forums in Both APIEM, and Networks (E.G. Global S&OP, Molecule S&OP, Local S&OP)
  • Build working relationships with central functions as required to support business needs, Global Supply Chain, Global Logistics, SAP Teams, Finance, Procurement, Tax, Import/Export Compliance.
  • Build working relationships with partner sites, both internally and externally to ensure alignment with corporate and APIEM initiatives.
  • Provide Leadership to the work group / team to attain departmental and site objectives for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and people.
  • Create, deploy, and comply with GMP Procedures.
  • Meet appropriate goals for performance improvements as defined by area leadership
  • Drives accountability for results, follow and execute policies and procedures impacting supply chain activities.
  • Responsible for acting on behalf of APIEM supply chain to integrate with the cross functional team to gain an understanding of site operations and predict or respond to potential issues and identify improvement opportunities that arise all other duties.

As Assigned Basic Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree

5+ Years’ Experience in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

Significant Experience in Supply Chain or related roles within a manufacturing site

SAP ECC and EWM Experience

Required Additional Skills/Preferences:

APICS Certification (Preferred)

OSSCE Class A Experience

Solid Understanding of Quality and Corporate Policies

External Manufacturing Experience

Good Communication skills and appreciation of cultural diversity high learning agility strong leadership, interpersonal and teamwork skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment capability to work in a virtual and sophisticated environment

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$127,500 - $204,600

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
