Join our team in Frankfurt (Main) as Associate Director ( Transaction & Financial Communication.
- As the primary or secondary contact, you support our clients when it matters most: during landmark M&A transactions, the exciting journey of going public and when facing attacks from activist investors.
- You translate complex technical developments into clear and compelling communications for business media, investors, and other stakeholders, promoting our clients’ reputation and preparing their management boards and executives for key milestones.
- You develop communication strategies for unexpected events that could affect the share price or the company’s reputation and provide support in crisis situations to help our clients maintain public trust.
- You bring fresh, inspiring ideas and innovative communication formats to the table, with a deep understanding of complex financial matters and the business rationale behind M&A, IPOs, and other equity and debt financing activities.
- You follow, monitor, and understand key political and economic debates in Germany and Europe, providing tailored recommendations to our clients.
- You work closely with our international teams and colleagues and our other practice groups to develop high-quality integrated solutions for our clients, leveraging shared knowledge, networks, and experience.
- You actively network within the media field and the finance universe, engage with key contacts, and support the team in new business activities and pitches, especially those relating to financial communications and investor relations.
- You are a well-versed project manager who excels at mentoring more junior colleagues across our offices, ensuring their personal growth and development. You also contribute to the growth of our Frankfurt office.
What You Should Bring
- You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree, or equivalent, preferably in a subject related to communications, finance, economics or journalism.
- You have at least three years’ professional experience as an Associate Director and a minimum of six years’ professional experience as a Director in a relevant field, e.g. consulting, investor relations, communications or, journalism.
- You understand what financial storytelling is about and bring profound knowledge of financial markets.
- You are a quick learner with excellent analytical and communications skills, both spoken and written in German, and you are fluent in English.
- You have a good understanding of the international and German media landscape, with a focus on business and financial media.
- You are able to judge mission critical situations and provide well-informed recommendations for our clients.
- You possess an entrepreneurial mindset, a proactive attitude, and strong organizational skills.
- You are a team player, highly committed, and professional.
- You have excellent people and project management skills, are a natural networker, and interact confidently with relevant stakeholders.
- You have a passion for communication and the courage to challenge existing approaches and standards, coupled with the ability to innovate.
