Our Digital Platforms team is at the bleeding edge of the "Agentic Revolution." We don't just build static workflows; we build autonomous AI agents that can reason, plan, and execute complex tasks. We operate in a high-scale, multicloud environment, leveraging the best-of-breed technologies from Google Gemini (GCP), AWS Bedrock, and Azure AI Foundry, orchestrated through the Moveworks platform.

The Impact:

As the Associate Director in Islamabad, you will be the primary architect of our "Agentic Strategy." You will lead a team of high-caliber engineers to move beyond traditional automation and toward Self-Directed AI Agents. Your leadership will determine how S&P Global leverages multicloud AI capabilities to create a seamless, intelligent enterprise where AI agents act as a force multiplier for our global workforce.

Responsibilities

The Associate Director, Agentic AI & Multicloud Solutions is a strategic leader responsible for the "Brain" and the "Action" layers of our AI ecosystem.

  • Agentic Strategy & Roadmap: Define the vision for autonomous agents that can navigate complex enterprise environments. Move beyond "if-then" logic toward AI systems that use reasoning (ReAct, Chain of Thought) to solve non-linear problems.
  • Multicloud AI Orchestration: Lead the strategy for a multicloud AI stack. Oversee the deployment of LLMs and Agentic frameworks across Google Vertex AI (Gemini), AWS Bedrock/SageMaker, and Azure AI Foundry, ensuring portability and performance.
  • Hybrid Platform Leadership: Manage the integration of Moveworks (Creator Studio/SparkActions) as the primary "Action Layer." Balance the speed of low-code development with the power of pro-code agentic frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph).
  • Architectural Governance: Design the blueprints for "Agentic Tool-Use." Ensure that agents have secure, standardized ways to interact with internal APIs, databases, and third-party services across the enterprise.
  • Team Leadership & Talent Hub: Scale and mentor the AI Engineering hub in Islamabad. Cultivate a team of "Hybrid Developers" who are equally comfortable in cloud-native coding (Python/GCP/AWS) and low-code workflow orchestration.
  • AI Safety & Governance: Lead the implementation of "Agentic Guardrails." Ensure that autonomous actions are audited, reversible, and compliant with global AI security frameworks and S&P Global’s ethical standards.
  • Innovation & Benchmarking: Stay at the forefront of the industry. Evaluate new foundational models and agentic architectures (Multi-agent systems, RAG, Long-context windows) to ensure S&P Global maintains a competitive edge.

What We’re Looking For: REQUIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

Strategic Leadership:

  • 12+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Cloud Architecture, or AI Solutions.
  • 4+ years of leadership experience, managing senior technical leads and high-impact engineering roadmaps.
  • Proven ability to drive "Transformation" rather than just "Maintenance"—you have a history of implementing game-changing technologies.

Multicloud & Agentic Expertise:

  • Agentic AI Frameworks: Deep conceptual and practical understanding of how AI agents function (e.g., function calling, planning, memory, and tool-use). Familiarity with LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen, or CrewAI.
  • Multicloud Proficiency: Experience architecting solutions across at least two major cloud providers (GCP Vertex AI, AWS Bedrock, or Azure AI Foundry/Studio).
  • Low-Code/Pro-Code Synergy: Expert-level knowledge of how to use platforms like Moveworks to trigger sophisticated backend logic hosted on cloud-native infrastructure.
  • Advanced Integration: Mastery of API-first architectures. You understand how to turn any enterprise service into a "Tool" that an AI agent can autonomously use.
  • Python/Node.js Literacy: You must be able to perform architectural reviews of code and understand the technical nuances of serverless and containerized deployments.

Communication:

  • The ability to act as a "Translator." You can explain the ROI of an autonomous agent to a business leader and then discuss "latency-aware prompt design" with your developers.

Nice to Have:

  • Certifications: AWS Certified AI/ML Specialist, Google Professional Machine Learning Engineer, or Azure AI Engineer Associate.
  • Open Source Contributions: Experience contributing to or managing projects in the AI/Agentic community.
  • R&D Mindset: Experience in "AI Red-Teaming" or adversarial testing for autonomous systems.
  • Enterprise Middleware Knowledge: Familiarity with the "plumbing" of a global firm (e.g., Auth0, MuleSoft, Kong, or Service Mesh).
