Associate DevOps Engineer

Overview

TD SYNNEX is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic DevOps engineer. As a member of the global DevOps organization, you will play a key role in supporting the Agile transformation within the Innovation Technology department. The DevOps team works closely with product teams to deploy and operate enterprise-class solutions that support TD SYNNEX's strategic focus. ; DevOps engineers will also heavily focus around heavily leveraging automation and monitoring to ensure the organization is delivering continuous improvements throughout the product lifecycle.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manages lifecycle and release management processes for applications supporting the product development team (10%)
  • Responsible for the continuous delivery process to build, deploy, and promote product development team applications. (10%)
  • Ensures applications have automated functional tests that are used by the continuous delivery process to determine successful deployment and operation of applications. (5%)
  • Ensures monitoring of applications is configured and have rules/alerts for routine and exceptional application conditions (5%)
  • Work directly with development and QA teams by leading and being accountable for the design and delivery of advanced DevOps capabilities. (5%)
  • Assist in the development of overall project plans and timetables, analysis and identification of intermediate deliverables (5%)
  • Ensures applications have automated functional tests that are used by the continuous delivery process to determine successful deployment and operation of applications. (5%)
  • Design, code, test, debug, implement and document enhancements that support continuous improvement efforts into the relevant product solutions (10%)
  • Ensures management and monitoring tools are integrated with the product development team's infrastructure and have rules/alerts for routine and exceptional operations conditions. (5%)
  • Report progress and status of assigned tasks to project teams and managers (5%)
  • Design, code, test, debug, implement and document enhancements that support continuous improvement efforts into the product development team's solutions (5%)
  • Manages IaaS and PaaS infrastructure that support product development applications (20%) Performs capacity, availability, issue, and change management processes for relevant product teams (5%)
  • Develop and maintain documentation and diagrams outlining automated solutions and environmental architecture (5%)

Qualifications

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with Computer Information Systems or related field of study required.
  • Technical with 1-3 Years IT experience field of study required.

Other Education / Certifications:

  • Experience implementing and supporting continuous delivery pipelines.
  • Demonstrate proven ability to manage the network, security, infrastructure, and server less technologies in the public cloud (Microsoft Azure preferred)
  • Knowledge of Configuration Management and Infrastructure as Code concepts (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Ansible).
  • Working experience on PaaS Technologies and solutions (App/Microservices preferred)
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple functional/technical teams to deliver a project.
  • Demonstrated growth mindset, enthusiastic about learning new technologies quickly and applying the gained knowledge to address business problems.
  • Hands on experience coding/building enterprise-scale applications using latest web technologies Good understanding of infrastructure and network design Strong understanding of security best practices
  • Candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to write functional code using at least one language (.Net, Python, Ruby, Javascript, or C#)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must

  • Experience with agile development is a must
