As an Associate Data Analyst on the Global Merchandise Planning Insights team, you will play a foundational support role in helping the team manage data, tools, and reporting processes across global product categories. Based in India, this entry-level position is ideal for someone beginning their career in planning or analytics, with a strong interest in retail and a desire to learn and grow in a global environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in updating and maintaining merchandise planning tools and templates under guidance.
Help organize seasonal assortment data and planning inputs.
Support preparation of basic weekly reports tracking sales and inventory.
Participate in compiling performance summaries and seasonal recaps.
Help prepare presentation materials for team meetings and global reviews.
Track simple metrics for key product stories and initiatives.
Conduct basic data checks and assist with ad hoc requests.
Collaborate with team members to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (or final year student) in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related field.
Internship or experience in retail, analytics, or planning.
Basic understanding of retail metrics (e.g., sales, inventory, margin).
Proficiency in Excel; exposure to Tableau or Power BI is a bonus.
Detail-oriented, eager to learn, and comfortable asking questions.
Ability to work with global teams and adapt to different time zones.
Additional Details:
This role is based in India and will work closely with remote global teams.
Flexibility to collaborate across time zones is essential.
