Associate - Customer Service

While reporting to the Customer Service Team Lead, the Customer Service Representative will partner with the sales, supply chain and manufacturing organizations as part of a cross-functional Customer Service Team to facilitate daily interactions with customers both internal and external. Actively engages in growing sales, creating Customer value through daily execution of quotes, manufacturing specifications, sales management and on-time delivery. 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Work with Plant, Plant Schedulers and Logistics to satisfy Customer needs

  • Enter Customer Orders and requirements into Order Management System

  • Maintains close communications with Plants/Service Centers to facilitate proper handling of all customer order information and scheduling/delivery issues.

  • Makes day to day, point of order decisions (creating/adding new items, checking inventory levels, answering customer inquiries, tracking products, etc.)

  • Partner with Sales & Technology to convert customer’s requirements into manufacturing specifications.  Ensure all specification changes are updated in system and current.

  • Process request for quotation within Pricing System

  • Makes pricing decisions for Egis/House accounts within established guideline

  • Partner with Quality to manages Customer feedback processes and ensure corrective actions are in place to address specific requirements.

  • Accountable for margin improvement for assigned accounts as appropriate

  • Maintains proper account coverage for customer base by fulfilling the following roles:

  • Acts as primary rep for assigned accounts; has in-depth knowledge of customer contracts, products, market and processes; primary responsibility for managing all order fulfillment processes

  • Responsible for administering routine order fulfillment processes as necessary for any customer covered by CS department

  • Actively markets products and services within covered markets

  • Makes transportation carrier decisions within guidelines

  • Coordinates account receivable activity to include credit determination, outstanding receivables resolution, and adherence of customer pay habits to division policy

  • Provide account managers and business leadership with sales information/reporting on a monthly or as requested basis

  • Works with assigned account managers in coordinating the submission of proposals/bid; providing detail value analysis as requested; price increases, monthly/quarterly reporting, etc. 

 

This position is located in Hartsville, SC

  • You have an associate degree or equivalent work experience

  • You have well-polished written communications and verbal skills 

  • 3 plus years of experience in customer service or office admin in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred

  • You have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment and have good follow-up

  • This position will require occasional work after normal business hours or over weekends to support 24/7 manufacturing facilities. 

Compensation:

  • Associate - Customer Service: $52,000 - $58,500
