Business Banking Client Services (BBCS) partners with frontline and specialist teams to meet the in-life Commercial Lending needs of business customers across Australia. We are a supportive team that values continuous learning, collaboration and delivering outstanding customer outcomes.
 

Do work that matters

Our nationally based Associates play a critical role in the financial wellbeing of business lending customers.

Working collaboratively with our Small Business Banking customers, Analysts and support teams, you will be responsible for a range of activities including:

  • Full, partial and substitution discharges
  • Expiring facilities and restructures
  • Consents, pricing requests and related customer support activities

Your strong commercial acumen and stakeholder skills will help identify opportunities to support customer growth and business resilience.

Reporting to the Team Manager, Business Banking Client Services, the Associate role supports the assessment, management and processing of commercial lending requests. Key responsibilities include:

  • Engaging with Small Business Banking customers to understand their needs
  • Reviewing customer circumstances and applying sound credit judgement
  • Delivering high-quality, timely service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Building and maintaining productive professional relationships aligned to team goals
  • Supporting your Manager and Executive Manager with special projects as required
     

We’re interested in hearing from people who have:

  • A passion for customer service with a focus on innovation and solutions-focused thinking
  • Experience in commercial lending or credit decisioning (or a strong desire to learn)
  • Solid commercial acumen and an understanding of business structures
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A tertiary qualification in Business, Finance or a related field (highly regarded)
     

Your Qualifications (highly regarded)

  • A recognised qualification in Risk, Compliance, Finance or Business
  • FSRA Tier 2 accreditation
