Position Overview:

The Business Operations and Onboarding Associate will support the VP, Business Operations and Onboarding in delivering a high-quality, efficient onboarding experience for clients. This role will assist with coordinating onboarding activities for new accounts, maintaining onboarding documentation and reporting, and partnering with internal teams to ensure smooth account start-ups. This position represents an exceptional opportunity to gain broad exposure to business development, client onboarding, business operations, and cross-functional collaboration within Acadian’s Global Client Group, while playing a meaningful role in helping bridge the transition from prospect to client. Acadian supports a hybrid work environment; employees are on-site in the Boston office 3 days a week.

What You’ll Do:

  • Support and partner with the VP, Business Operations and Onboarding in coordinating the onboarding of new Americas accounts, both Separately Managed Accounts and Fund Participants.
  • Track committed but not yet funded business, ensuring key milestones, timelines, and next steps are clearly documented and communicated
  • Serve as a point of contact during the onboarding phase, supporting both internal stakeholders and external clients through meeting coordination, communications, and follow-ups
  • Prepare onboarding materials, process documentation, and system setups (e.g., Salesforce, contract management tools, onboarding platforms, reporting)
  • Help ensure consistent, timely, and high-quality client communications throughout the onboarding process
  • Maintain accurate onboarding milestones and client data within Salesforce and related reporting tools
  • Document onboarding workflows, best practices, and client-specific requirements to support internal alignment and knowledge sharing
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and elevating the client onboarding experience
  • Assist in Global Client Group projects and initiatives

We’re Looking for Teammates With:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial services client onboarding, account implementation, or client service functions within an asset management or financial services environment
  • Strong proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Word and Excel with the ability to organize, analyze, and communicate information clearly; Familiarity with onboarding platforms and internal reporting systems
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy when managing data, documentation, and workflows
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams
  • A team-oriented mindset, with a willingness to support colleagues and contribute to collective outcomes
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with sound judgment and the ability to escalate issues appropriately

The base salary range for this role is $85,000 – $95,000 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, and relevant experience. In addition to base pay, this position may be eligible for discretionary incentive compensation and includes participation in Acadian’s comprehensive benefits program, which includes health, retirement, and wellness offerings.
