What You’ll Be Doing
Capital Markets provides integrated services and products aimed at serving investors as well as corporate and institutional clients globally. The Capital Markets business is a recognized leader in the industry specializing in investment banking advisory services, corporate lending and research. In addition, the Direct Financial Services arm provides alternate services and solutions such as direct investing, direct banking and unique international payment solutions. Collectively, these lines of business are achieving CIBC’s core purpose: to help make our clients’ ambitions a reality.
As a Business Management Support professional for Global Corporate and Investment Banking (GC&IB), you'll serve as a key liaison between the front office and other areas of the Bank. You'll ensure business strategies, initiatives, projects, and operational issues are addressed and resolved, supporting the team’s ongoing success and organizational excellence.

How You’ll Succeed
Strategic Planning & Presentation Development – Support strategic business planning and collaborate with Business Management and Finance teams to create impactful presentations for senior management, Town Halls, conferences, and ad hoc needs. Coordinate update of Front Office Policies & Procedures.
Data & Technology Utilization – Use advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills to build high-quality presentations and manage data. Leverage AI tools to enhance business processes and reporting.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management – Coordinate and oversee relationships with external partners and vendors, including Market Data Services and use licenses. Build and maintain effective partnerships with Operations, Finance, Risk Management, Technology, Legal, Compliance, and other corporate governance groups. Support vendor management processes and compliance requirements.
Governance & Compliance – Support CIBC governance functions including user access, contracts, and records management. Liaise with compliance and respond to auditor/regulator requests to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
Operational Excellence – Develop and implement improvements to internal procedures and controls. Oversee employee onboarding/offboarding, organization charts, deal file maintenance, and manage GC&IB intranet resources.
Event, Meeting & Ad hoc Coordination – Organize events, business meetings, and executive sessions. Remain accessible to the business throughout the day to actively respond to information needs and provide executive and administrative support as required.
Who You Are
You have 2-3 years of work experience in Capital Markets or corporate development. You have strong knowledge of capital markets products & processes.
You have an undergraduate degree. CFA/CA designation is an asset.
You’re digitally savvy. You’re skilled in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and utilize AI to drive business analysis and process improvements as needed.
You enjoy solving complex problems and making sense of information. You use strong judgment and change-implementation skills to address challenges and deliver results.
You’re an effective communicator. Your strong oral and written communication skills help you engage confidently with senior leaders and diverse stakeholders. You create impactful presentations and coordinate large meetings with ease.
You know that relationships are the key to success. You have experience managing external partnerships to ensure they remain strong, and you actively support and nurture healthy relationships within the business and across teams such as Finance, Operations, Risk Management, Technology etc.
You act like an owner. You’re a self-starter who works independently, handles multiple complex priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, and consistently produces exceptional work with discretion, diplomacy, and patience.
