Job Summary
Reporting to the Lead Business Analyst, within our Commercial Digital Delivery team, the Associate Business Analyst works with a cross-functional team in optimization of application capabilities & business processes. This role provides business analysis and project/product support for the development, enhancement, quality assessment, and on-going support of the relevant lines of business (LOBs), specifically our Key Navigator Product.
Essential Functions
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis
- Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, document, and analyze business and technical requirements.
- Translate business needs into user stories, use cases, and technical specifications for development teams.
- Prepare process flow diagrams and technical documentation.
- Evaluate existing business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret business data using SQL.
- Present findings and recommendations through effective data visualization techniques.
- Project & Agile Support
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (e.g., sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives).
- Utilize project management and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
- Support and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure quality releases.
- Troubleshoot issues and validate system functionality against requirements.
- Facilitate communication between business and technical teams.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and foster collaborative relationships.
- Continuous Learning & Knowledge Sharing

Education
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (preferred)
Work Experience
- 1+ years of relevant experience (required)
Skills - Required
- Basic understanding of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems
- Ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality to ensure the success of a software development project.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical writing skills.
- Ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Skills - Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in business analysis methodologies and tools; exposure to SQL.
- Experience in analyzing data to draw relevant business conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools
- Familiarity with Agile mindset, e.g., Agile, Scrum, Kanban approaches.
- Previous hands-on experience with Jira/Confluence.
- Experience within a technology environment, including Change Management and Security & Risk.

- Candidate must be able to report to the Tiedeman Offices in a Hybrid capacity (2+ days)
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $71,000.00 - $122,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
