What this job involves:

Join JLL's Edmonton brokerage team as an Associate where you'll be at the heart of deal-making activity in the commercial real estate market. This dynamic role combines sales support, research and data analysis as you uncover market insights, track ownership and tenant movements, and transform complex information into compelling pitch materials that help close deals.

You’ll join a team of seasoned brokerage professionals, supporting both office and industrial portfolios through financial modelling, conducting market surveys, and maintaining the pulse of deals in progress while developing expertise in local market fundamentals that drive real estate decisions.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Maintain an administrative inventory of "deals in progress"

  •  Work with research and other team members to compile market information and statistics on the local commercial real estate market; conduct research and collect information materials on market fundamentals, ownership, tenants, and economic analysis

  •  Conduct research at a designated level to support pitch materials, publications, reports and deliverables to the Local Practice Leader and/or applicable brokerage team; assist brokerage professionals through the completion of market surveys, data analysis, cash flow analysis, financial modelling and other deliverables

  •  Contribute to designated local market research requests: market snapshots, market overviews, quarterly market decks, topic specific research to support pitches and brokerage opportunities

  • Liaise internally with real estate professionals to provide administrative assistance

  • Coordinate and manage daily, weekly and quarterly research tasks

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Real Estate

  • 1+ years of experience in an office setting

  • Strong interest in commercial real estate and desire to obtain commercial real estate license

  • Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint and Word software 

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle

  • Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information and translate into strategic deliverables 

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and within a team to build relationships and interact effectively with business partners 

  • Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure and effectively manage time and workload
