About you and this role
We are seeking an Associate Business Intelligence Specialist to join Dow’s Analytics & AI Hub (AAIH) team. In this role, you will work directly with clients to design, develop, implement, and maintain Business Intelligence (BI) dashboards using tools such as Power BI, DSR, and related technologies.
This position requires strong technical skills combined with the ability to build effective business relationships and develop domain knowledge of client teams and data environments over time. Your work will enable data-driven decision-making and support Dow’s AI Catalyst and Transform to Outperform initiatives.
Responsibilities
As Associate BI Specialist, you will -
- Design and Develop BI Dashboards: Create interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, DSR, and other BI tools to meet client requirements.
- Collaborate with Clients: Work closely with business teams to understand their needs and translate them into actionable BI solutions.
- Maintain and Enhance Solutions: Ensure dashboards remain accurate, relevant, and optimized for performance, implementing improvements as needed.
- Develop Domain Knowledge: Build a deep understanding of client data environments and business processes to deliver tailored solutions.
- Ensure Data Quality: Validate data sources and ensure consistency and accuracy in reporting.
- Document and Communicate: Maintain clear documentation of BI solutions and provide training or guidance to end-users.
- Adopt Best Practices: Follow governance, security, and compliance standards for BI development and deployment.
- You will have strong technical skills in BI development and the ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Business Intelligence, MIS, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in BI development or data analytics roles.
- Core Technical Expertise (2–4 Years Demonstrated Experience) .
Your Skills
- Experience with advanced Power BI features (DAX, Power Query, Row-Level Security).
- Business Intelligence Tools: Proficiency in Power BI and experience with other BI platforms or reporting tools.
- Familiarity with data visualization best practices and user experience design.
- Data Modeling & Visualization: Ability to design intuitive dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights.
- Knowledge of cloud-based BI solutions and integration with enterprise data platforms.
- Data Handling: Experience working with relational databases, writing SQL queries, and integrating multiple data sources.
- Performance Optimization: Skills in improving dashboard efficiency and scalability.
- Agile Delivery: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and iterative development processes.
