The Basics:
Tanium is looking for an Associate Audio Visual Technician to support our global AV initiatives and day-to-day demands. This is an in-office role, and this individual will report to our Sr. Audio Visual Engineer. This person will help keep our teams and offices running through the daily management of audio-visual equipment, software, vendors, and both onsite/offsite and virtual events. This role is integral in developing and maintaining the Tanium culture and supports engagement events within and outside of the physical office. Independence, proactivity, flexibility, leadership, dependability, and excellent organizational skills are a must. This is a highly collaborative role deeply integrated with our IT, Workplace, and Security support service teams and must have a customer service approach when working with our team members in the office.
This position follows the Company’s schedule which currently requires this employee to work in the office at one of the following locations five days per week: Addison, TX or Durham, NC.
What you’ll do:
- Perform preventative maintenance and daily sweeps of conference and training rooms to ensure all equipment is in a functional and updated state.
- On-site and virtual user support with all audio visual equipment and video conferencing platforms.
- Assist the Senior AV Engineer with planning, setup, and execution of company-wide live events.
- Assist in creating documentation of audio-visual assets, and instructional materials.
- Respond to global tickets regarding audio visual issues from company stakeholders.
- Assist the Senior AV Engineer in designing conferencing, collaborative, event, and training spaces.
- Assist the Senior AV Engineer with vendor management during the construction phase of new builds, including project organization and timeline adherence.
- Assist the Senior AV Engineer in physical installation during the construction phase of new builds, as well as commissioning and programming.
- Assist in communication with vendors around purchasing and professional services.
- Collaborate with Senior AV Engineer on R&D around new technologies to develop and test innovative designs and proofs of concept.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and restore malfunctioning systems to minimize business disruption.
- Assist in-office presentations, ensuring users get running smoothly.
- Tier 1 Zoom and MS Teams administration.
- Assess current and changing needs.
- Assist in licensing and pricing negotiation
- Co-hosting virtual webinars
- Assist in everyday uses and settings management.
We’re looking for someone with:
- BA/BS and/or equivalent work experience preferred.
- 2+ years of AV technical support and live event experience.
- Authorized to work in the US.
- Ability to work onsite from our Durham / Addison office daily.
- Ability to work on an adjusted schedule as needs arise.
- Strong understanding of audiovisual signal flow.
- Experience setting up and using live event equipment, such as video switchers, cameras, wireless microphones, and mixers.
- Proficiency with Zoom and Microsoft Teams, including common issues and best practices.
- Experience supporting both office and remote work environments.
- Excellent verbal communication.
- Ability to work with various teams and vendors.
