Associate Animator: Motion Capture

Rockstar is on the lookout for an Associate Animator who is skilled at motion capture animation.

This is a full-time, in-office position based out of Rockstar’s unique game development studio in Oakville, ON. 

WHAT WE DO

• The Motion Capture Animation team collaborates with our global teams to produce character animations.
• We work with bleeding-edge technology to capture actors’ movement, facial, and audio data to create photorealistic content. 
• We are responsible for bringing actors’ performances to life through precise data tracking and character solving.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Process motion capture data through proprietary pipelines. 
• Retarget motion capture data to game assets. 
• Work collaboratively with the global team to achieve goals, uphold animation quality, and share knowledge.

REQUIREMENTS

• 2 years of experience with character animation or motion capture. 
• 2 years of experience with Motion Builder. 
• A demo reel showcasing your animation work.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. 
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. 
• Self-motivated, interested in games and curious about how things work. 
• Adaptable and flexible, able to quickly adjust to changing priorities and new challenges.
  

PLUSES

• Knowledge of Linux.  
• A good understanding of game animation pipelines.
