ABOUT THE ROLE

The Associate Account Manager will be responsible for prospecting and closing new sponsorship sales and group registrations for events associated with Dow Jones Risk Journal and related publications, including WorldECR, Oxford Analytica, and Dragonfly Intelligence. 

You will develop new relationships with trade associations, publications and organizations on a global scale to increase the reach and visibility of the events portfolio.  In addition, you will manage sponsorship relationships as well as prospect for and close new sponsorships for content that appears in the Export Compliance Manager Journal. 

With a drive to pursue revenue growth opportunities, you are also versed in key news and trends in the risk and compliance ecosystem, including related topics such as sanctions, trade, tariffs and geopolitics. 

Reporting to the Director, Business Management and Commercial Strategy, Dow Jones Risk Journal, you will drive growth in a critical revenue segment for the business. 

You will work on-site in our midtown Manhattan office at least 3 days each week.

YOU WILL

  • Work closely with marketing, editorial, and senior conference team to qualify, validate and develop new business prospects from multiple sources including inbound marketing leads, conference and prospect lists, discovery and individual research

  • Respond to and close sales leads for assigned events

  • Develop new prospects for external sales outreach

  • Drive the expansion of prospects for attendance and sponsorships across the events portfolio by developing new relationships, including with associations

  • Travel occasionally, domestically and internationally, to attend events and solidify relationships with current and new sponsors and customers

YOU HAVE

  • The willingness to work in our midtown Manhattan office at least 3 days per week

  • The ability to travel domestically and internationally, on occasion, to attend events

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in sponsorship sales and/or event sales

  • Interest in topics related to business risk and compliance, including regulations; financial crime; sanctions and trade compliance; cybersecurity; supply chains; and geopolitics

  • Experience developing new prospects for sales outreach

  • Proficiency with Salesforce, NetSuite, Aventri and/or Cvent 

  • Built cross-organizational relationships and effectively leveraged them to identify new opportunities quickly and efficiently

  • Exceptional relationship management and communication skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, relevant experience

Pay Range: 80,000 - 100,000
