The Role

Are you energized by relationship-building, onsite engagement, and the mission of transforming law enforcement through modern technology? As an Associate Account Executive at Peregrine, you'll drive pipeline creation and lead generation through in-person events and field engagement, playing a vital supporting role in Peregrine's expansion across the Western U.S.

This role is ideal for a dynamic, mission-driven professional seeking to grow in enterprise SaaS sales while directly contributing to public safety outcomes, with long-term promotional opportunities to become a Senior Account Executive.

Key Responsibilities:

Top-of-Funnel Development & Field Engagement
  • Represent Peregrine at onsite events, demos, conferences, and agency meetings across the West region, including lead generation follow-up 
  • Identify, build, and nurture early-stage relationships with law enforcement agencies
  • Generate qualified leads and book onsite discovery and demo meetings in collaboration with Senior AEs and sales leadership 
  • Maintain activity metrics for pipeline generation tied to in-person engagements, including follow-up tracking and demo scheduling
Small Agency Sales Execution
  • Tailor the Peregrine value proposition to the specific challenges of law enforcement agencies and District Attorney's Offices 
  • Partner with our Customer Advocacy team to build Peregrines regional footprint in the criminal justice ecosystem 
  • Coordinate internally with pre-sales, marketing, and deployment teams to ensure smooth onboarding for small agency customers 
Pipeline Reporting & Cross-Team Coordination 
  • Maintain accurate records of pipeline activity, meetings set, and opportunities progressed in CRM
  • Partner with Senior AEs to route mid and large-size qualified leads for ongoing sales development, assisting through various stages of the sales cycle as needed 
  • Provided territory insights on event effectiveness, regional trends, and lead conversion metrics 

 What We Look For:

  • 1-3 years in a business development, sales, or customer-facing role, preferably in SaaS, govtech, or public safety adjacent markets
    • A minimum of 5 years of law enforcement practitioner/DA experience can be substituted if that experience can be articulated as directly related to the basic knowledge, skills, and abilities required in this role
  • Clear interest in law enforcement or public safety; ability to build rapport with both uniformed and civilian stakeholders
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication—confident, curious, and approachable in live and virtual settings—including a strong ability to initiate conversations in-person, adapt messaging on the fly, and leave a positive impression at agency visits, demos, and conferences
  • Clear, persuasive communicator across live demos, one-on-one conversations, and through written communications with internal and external stakeholders
  • A natural capacity to build rapport with diverse stakeholders
  • Can independently drive field activity and prospecting without needing constant direction. Comfortable with cold outreach when required, and keeping warm leads engaged 
  • Ability to tailor messaging—verbal or written—to difference agency roles, personalities, agency types and adjusting tone and emphasis depending on context and audience 
  • Ability to embody and communicate Peregrine's public safety mission in a way that earns trust and opens doors with skeptical or tech-wary agencies 
  • Coachable and able to absorb feedback with humility and integrate it rapidly, including the ability to quickly implement best practices shared by more senior team members or feedback from the field
  • Emotional resilience and professional tact when encountering resistance, disinterest, or slow-moving agencies, without letting it dampen activity levels or deflecting 
  • Strong time management, CRM hygiene, and detail orientation in reporting activities and follow ups 
  • Must reside within or near the West territory (Pacific to Mountain Time Zone) and near a major airport preferred
  • Willingness to travel extensively (~50%) throughout the Western U.S. for field events and agency/office visits

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working events, trade shows, or field marketing programs with measurable lead gen outcomes in a law enforcement vertical 
  • Familiarity with government procurement cycles and/or navigating law enforcement hierarchies 
  • Previous exposure to law enforcement culture or having served in a support capacity to first repsonders
  • Former practitioner in a LE discipline or immediate adjacency (e.g. District Attorney's Offices etc.)

Salary Range: $95,000 - $115,000 Annually + Sales Commission + Benefits + Equity (if applicable) + Bonus (if applicable)
