Job Description:
Claim Associate-- Performs all related claims facilitating tasks involving receiving and releasing of claim documents and checks, preparation of check requests, preparation of reports and letters and attending to claim notification and inquiries.
1.Prepares disbursement requests for approved or denied claims according to instructions from Claim Analysts and for approval of Claim Analysts/Claims Manager/Head, Claims, Claim Analyst/Claims Manger/Head, Claims
2. Prepares manual computation, as necessary, for approval of Claim Analysts/Claims Manager/Head, Claims, Claim Analyst/Claims Manger/Head, Claims
3. Coordinates with DPA for adjustments and follow through on its completion.
4. Coordinate with Actuarial and Finance, if necessary.
5. Monitor if Group claim records are updated once payout is processed then updates the record, as necessary.
6. Prepares regular recon report for group cases and other reports that may be assigned.
7. Prepares transmittal forms and releases claim checks, letters and other documents.
8. Receives and processes incoming mail; locates claim files, attaches received claim documents and endorses to Claim Analyst in charge
9. Prepares claim approval and denial letters, maturity notices and maturity cover letters.
10. Attends to inquiries from agents, clients and staff over the counter, e-mail and telephone
11. Processes billing statements of inspection agencies
12. Requisitions and safekeeps of Claims Section supplies
13. Attends to logistics requirements for Section meetings
Knowledge:
Knowledge of life insurance basic concepts and operations.
