Job Description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an API Operations Specialist.  

Reporting to the API Production Leader, the Operations Specialist provides day-to-day engineering support to the Factory 01 API operations area. The incumbent must bring energy, knowledge, innovation to carry out the following:

 

·     Provide Operational/Technical support for projects including

a. Scheduling

b. Design – process/safety etc

c. Execution/Delivery

d. Close-out

·         Provide support for API model area including

a. Leading 8 step problem solving

b. Downtime/Cycle time analysis

c. Leading Process Tier

·         Data Integrity improvements – operations lead on the various improvement initiatives i.e., paperless, standard related improvements etc

·         Lead/Author operations related deviations. Provide technical/operational expertise on other ancillary deviations

·         Ownership of ancillary operations related SOP’s/WI’s and batchsheets

·         GMP compliance – completion of factory walkdowns and closure of observations

What skills you will need:

In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:

 

Educational Requirements:

• B. Eng Degree in Chemical and Process Engineering
• Minimum 3 years industrial experience
• Lean Six Sigma Certification required – minimum yellow belt certification

 

Special Features

The incumbent plays a key leadership role and must combine expert knowledge in manufacturing operations with good leadership ability. The incumbent must be self motivated and have a proven track record in Operations. It is envisaged that the incumbent have minimum 3 years API experience or equivalent. Continuously identifies opportunities for improving productivity to facilitate better than profit plan performance during the production year and increasing the sites capacity for future years.
