Job Description
Job Title: Associate Director, Global Security — Financial Integrity
Location: Rahway
Reports To: Lee Candelino, Executive Director, Financial Integrity
Position summary:
The Associate Director leads enterprise-level initiatives to detect, investigate, and mitigate financial integrity risks across the organization (e.g., business email compromise, patient assistance, coupon/voucher programs, and employee expense fraud). Acting as a trusted strategic advisor to senior leadership, this role drives global programs with measurable business impact, makes independent decisions in non-standard and escalated situations, and directs multiple cross-functional initiatives that reduce financial exposure and strengthen enterprise resiliency.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic influence and advisory: Serve as a senior advisor to executive leadership and business stakeholders, translating investigative findings into strategic recommendations, policy enhancements, and risk-informed decisions that align with organizational priorities.
Independent decision-making: Exercise sound judgment and take decisive action in complex, non-routine cases or emergent incidents — determining investigative scope, escalation paths, remediation steps, and communication approaches with minimal oversight.
Program leadership of global initiatives: Lead multiple, moderately complex global programs and investigations from concept through implementation, including development of investigative frameworks, operational standards, metrics, and continuous improvement plans that deliver measurable reductions in financial risk.
Enterprise scope and measurable impact: Design and deliver enterprise-wide controls, detection strategies, and KPI-driven reporting that quantify program effectiveness, inform senior leadership, and materially reduce loss, regulatory exposure, or reputational risk.
Cross-functional collaboration: Build and sustain strong strategic relationships with Legal, Compliance, Procurement, Finance, IT, and external partners to coordinate complex investigations, evidence preservation, and remediation actions across jurisdictions.
Case governance and quality assurance: Establish and maintain rigorous case management standards, ensure timely, consistent documentation in case management systems, and validate investigative quality and outcomes through periodic reviews and metrics.
Incident response and escalation: Direct response activities for high-impact incidents (e.g., business email compromise or large-scale program misuse), lead executive-level briefings, and determine escalation to legal, regulatory, or law enforcement partners as required.
Training and capability building: Develop and deliver training, playbooks, and tools to elevate investigative capability and financial integrity awareness across the enterprise.
Measurement and reporting: Define success metrics, dashboarding, and regular reporting for global leadership that demonstrate program effectiveness, trends, and prioritized remediation activities.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFE, CISM) preferred.
Minimum 10 years’ investigative experience in law enforcement, intelligence, military, or corporate security with a strong financial fraud/white-collar crime background.
Proven experience leading multiple, global initiatives with enterprise-level measurable impact (beyond task coordination).
Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment and make decisions in non-standard, high-stakes situations.
Strong strategic influence and stakeholder management skills; ability to advise and align senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
Track record of developing and implementing enterprise controls, detection strategies, and KPI-driven reporting.
Experience operating in a matrixed, multinational environment with experience coordinating across jurisdictions.
Expertise in case management systems and strong investigative documentation skills.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; comfortable briefing executive leadership.
Advanced interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships across all levels, including external partners and contractors.
Strong analytical skills, innovative mindset, and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with the company product portfolio.
